Considering he's getting older, I expected him to stay in the low registry most of the song. But nope, he went straight for those half sing/scream things he does. Very impressed honestly. Especially since its an acoustic version, Holy shit!
@Playlists films&series What the fuck? Dude I literally made a comment just saying I was impressed and you want to respond with some of this condescending shit? Get the fuck out of here.
We must also recognize the great talent of Tyler Bates, not just Marilyn's. The guy, in addition to being a tremendous producer and composer, is a great guitarist with the ability to listen and be attentive to the rhythms to keep up with one of the most demanding artists. Respects.
A amateur guitarist of 3 years experience could play this......get real. He may be good? This performance/arrangement is not difficult at all, no matter what marilyn does or changes throughout the performance.
Every time what I listen to Manson's version, I go back to the original, then back again to Manson's song. It is going from the surface to the hell and back.
Legendary artist. And a smart human being. Anyone remember his answer to the school shooting back then? Michael Moore : If you were to talk directly to the kids at Columbine or the people in that community, what would you say to them if they were here right now? Marilyn Manson : I wouldn't say a single word to them. I would listen to what they have to say, and that's what no one did.
Sure, yet it also seems kinda clear that talking to them, as everyone else would have attempted, wouldn’t change a thing. They wouldn’t want to listen to this kind of repetitive shit. Sick people, or ones that strongly believe in the rightness of the thing they’re doing don’t care about what you want to say, since you ignore their view on the situation. So yes, listening to them would be the best option here. When you can’t do shit about what has happened nor can „fix” the morals of the attackers, all you can do is try to understand, as everything has a reason to it, even dumbest.
He is what ? I m trying to find a singing quality on this guy and i cant. The only "artistic " qualities i find on his trade , are an extravagant look, extreme/bissare videos, unusual lifestyle, and bold statements on media appealing to younger audience which i guess is important if you want to build a career out of nothing . One might say that you could swap this guy with another , put the same make up and cloths and he could do just fine in most of his songs infront of a live audience . Maybe he is writing parts of his music or lyrics i dont know about that. I hope he is to be honest otherwise there is nothing left , which makes me wonder how someone with no special music skills can become so big . This is not news though , there are countless examples of artists doing well without great skills. Maybe i m wrong though, can you share some video where i can appreciate his singing abilities? Dont get me wrong , i mean i kinda like the guy and some of his songs but stating that he is a great singer , i dont know man :)
I don't understand why everyone hates this acoustic version of the song. Actually I love it, he's full of emotions, basically you can hear his pain.. Marilyn Manson is a legend!!!
u can see his shows. He was the fucking shit into the stage. (Still is) but is older and he can't do the same things that he did in the past. He looks tired
Man the guitar dude is CRAZY GOOD & GIFTED. Him being ABLE to execute so excellently while Marilyn Manson is yelling RIGHT NEXT TO HIM in his ears is beyond PRO level. Great Performance🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Living legend perfectly describes him. I admire his bravery to not conform and instead to be true to himself. He's truly unique. Love him or hate him there will never be another Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson has been there, done that lol He was pushing boundaries way before it was cool! He has always just been real- even when some didn't like it! And underneath it all, there's his real, raw talent- sometimes it gets lost; but it's always been there. I'm just thankful I was born when I was, so I had the chance to listen from the beginning! It's the end of 2023, and I've been listening most of my life, and I'm still able to appreciate his talent! Can't say that about many artists!!
Great respect for Ariana Grande, however Marilyn Manson is a better singer when taking into singing styles and the fact that Marilyn Manson sings scream @jimbob2427
I love how he leads the guitar to perfectly fit his voice and the orquestra. He looks at him, talks to him and even touches him at a certain point. Brilliant, both of them.
Isn't it funny how Marilyn Manson spent his entire career creating and maintaining this incredible character of sadness and sweet madness, and it seems as he gets older, the creator is becoming the painting.
I see everyone's complimenting Manson only, gotta give credit to mr. Tyler Bates as well. He slayed this song on the guitar, composer of such movies like Watchmen, John Wick, 300, Guardians of the galaxy and The Punisher tv show. A superb composer at that. Absolutely great collaboration between the two and an amazing performance.
Anatoly Sergey you have a different opinion if you don’t like it then why are you on this video or even loooking up his videos, let everyone have their own opinion and you can have your own
Okay, I'm 55 years old and I also like Marilyn Manson I have a very eclectic taste in music. That being said, I also love Annie Lenox and appreciate that she gave the approval for Marilyn Manson to record the song. I love both versions. I know that Annie has true respect for artists and she apparently realized that Marilyn Manson was able to sing this song in a way that would music lovers would really appreciate.
This dudes voice has something good that it's hard to describe. He can sound so calm and then jump to a 10 very quickly. My favorite song from him is still Killing strangers
@@MatthewChastainUSMC2141Every singer you deem to be good will reach 50 and gain natural weight someday and you tell me how good they'll sound. Manson has a great deep voice and can still do that iconic guttural scream with ease.
You can definitely tell that the lyrics resonate with him in a different way they they did in his used. And I'm sure that's the experience of the music industry and life in general
This performance just shows how important it is for a guitarist to be able to read the singer. Great communication from both of them. Awesome and natural
This version is has so much more emotion then the original and I love it. It has less fear factor and more soul. He doesn't sound like he's singing from his head he sounds like he's singing from his heart which I admire. Mr. Manson you truly are a work of art.
Agreed! This was actually very moving for me. But I have also been a fan him since the 90s. Manson is absolutely amazing. I always say it, he was before his time!
That guitarist is Tyler Bates! He is first a great composer, you may know his works from movies like 300, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Watchmen, Sucker Punch, Guardians of the Galaxy, John Wick 1&2&3, Samurai Jack, etc. He is not afraid of anything. He started collaborating with Manson when the show Salem appeared and they made together the intro. After that the constantly worked together, their masterpiece being the album The Pale Emperor. Great artists!!!
Captain Gormley Manson already did. He considers his album, Eat Me Drink Me, his “stripped down” album. It was just Manson himself and Tim Skold that appeared on the album.
I heard an interviewer ask Manson what he would say to the kids of today. He said he would say nothing, he would listen instead. Classy response. Been a fan ever since.
What skill? His voice is an average voice that he sings in a throaty voice on purpose. Nothing special and super easy to replicate. Then even his rasp part isn’t standard rasp the way Chester or Kurk does, he actually just shouts really loud. His raspy parts are actually just shouting
@@user-gz1gn7vn3j just have a difference of opinion and that’s ok. You don’t have to be so dramatic about it. We disagree and and that’s ok. Anyway have a nice life :)
