Manson is absolutely unique. Even if you love him or hate him, he has done too many things, i mean he's a big in the music world and as an artist, he's just...awesome!!:D @Holret: hey don't offend italians for nothing please!:D
Everyone seems to focus on the point of Manson not being the same as he used to be, when he's repeatedly mentioned how he's not the same and how he's gone through transformations. He's a genius, his music is different now from then because he isn't the same.
Yes, I think you are talking about the clip in which he is singing The Nobodies. The lyrics in the clip are, "we fed machines and then we prayed, puked up and down in morbid faith, you should have seen our ratings that day." The reason I write them here is so, if you watch it again, you can tell me if the words correspond with the clip. Then we know we understand each other. Hope this helped.
People fear what they do not understand. And many can't understand Manson. He shows expression that most people are afraid to show, and his lyrics go against many people. He is a wonderful artist with singing and painting, and he should be praised as one. Yet instead, they blame Manson for murders and destruction that he had nothing to do with. His music can make you from any emotion, to another. But never does it give you the killing intent.
I don't think that MM is shy. It's all the contrary! If he was shy, he would have lived another life. The fact that he has such a strong personality and beliefs allowed him to do what he does. Like he says: America needed a man like him who says what nobody else would only dream to say. And that's exactly it.
A lot of people say that. Marilyn manson is just a band. You shouldn't need his music to keep you alive. If your life is that hollow, take a closer look at yourself.
Manson in the early 90s is like KISS in the 70s. Why the hell did anyone listen to KISS? Looking at it today, it makes no sense. But, KISS was just the outrageous music icon of their day, and they made big bucks and big media. Nowadays, people say, "why the hell did anyone listen to Manson?"
My parents get him just fine- Im 23 and they are 39 and 45. you have to remember that Manson is 39 as well therefore alot of the older generation get's him.
jeje Marilyn Manson is a very good person, the only thing that he is looking for.. is to say to the people what he thinks about the world, focus on our society, like he said, that if the music is not a good place to put all those kind of emotions that he feel, then he would probably try in another place like for example the cinema, just to express all those kind of feeling and thoughts that he has about the society in which we live today.
As soon as my kid starts talking about dubstep or Justine Bieber I'm going to make him listen to this and show him the difference between garage band and autotune and a real artist.
If anyone thinks he is getting too ''old'' then they are out of their fucking minds because Marilyn Manson is sexy smart and creative and his music will never die
@XPunkRockChikaX his full name is Brian Hugh Warner i used this to my advantage so i could do an art project about him (at my catholic school) without my teacher knowing who it was : D
batto092, there used to be (I'm not sure if there still are--not many people get at a song called Heart Shaped Glasses but) a lot of bomb threats for his shows, specially during the Antichrist Superstar era. I think it's just tight security that keeps him alive.
when he listed his inspirations a thought popped into my head. does anyone else find it strange that no one has attempted to kill him? i dont know the full story of john lennon, but didnt a fanatic kill him because of a line in his song imagine?i just find it weird that someone as controversial as marilyn hasnt been murdered. and no, i dont have a problem with him.i love his music and i think his new album is great.wouldve loved to have seen him when he came to australia but it was over 18 (N).
you say Lil Wayne- I say Disturbed you say Jonas Bros- I say Marilyn Manson you say 50 cent- I say Ko?n you say Soulja Boy- I say Killswitch Engage. you say Justin Timberlake- I say Slipknot you say MIA- I say Avenged Sevenfold. you say rap and pop- I say listen to some real music. 92% of teens have turned to pop and rap. If your one the 8% who like to to headbang and disturb the peace, copy and paste to 4 videos
The long hard road out of hell. Maybe he has some other autobiography but that? s the one I have read. It doesn´t cost so much. I bought it from Amazon.
Dita didn't almost kill him- he almost killed himself. Have you ever read his book "Long Hard Road Out Of Hell?" This man once had alot of will-power but he has lost it in this mid-life crisis he is having.
I own it as well and I think his decline and loss of self was pathetic to be frank. I hope that Evan proves to be better for him I just think he was overly dramatic about the whole ordeal.
im gona SAY!! this why do people think something is wrong with him i dont get it hes not scary hes not disturbing hes an artist i dont fucking get it? i mean i love his music but he doesnt disturb me to be honest ive fallen a sleep listening to his music lol THE BEAUITIFUL PEOPLE i love that song his music is awsome people should just accept that and concentrate on more important things........ he has his own style its goth or w/e either way its his own ACCEPT IT YOU FUCKING PEOPLE
I remember watching an interview on it and I think he said he was at a concert or a party, and he saw some blonde wearing heart shaped glasses. and that night he decided he wanted to make a song about it
why do ppl keep saying things like this about him? i'm kind of religous, and he does say a few things that might be considered inapropriet, but look at Ozzy, he killed living animals on stage and you're saying that Marilyn Manson is going to hell because he dress' strangly?
He lost it about 12 years ago...... in my opinion after holywood he went downhill. His new stuff is ok.... but he doesn't have the fire that he had originally. He could have done much in his hayday, but choose not too.... Doesn't really matter, because human nature will never change.
actually he is a licenced preacher of santinism. tho he is not a hardcore believer he does however hav e a licence to preach the word of satan as he believe's it. it's in his auto biography. and he has a quote that goes along with his name dealing about what we take to be real is the lie i like best
You're mistaken in your theology. True, Lucifer is a Latin name, meaning "light bearer," but that's primarily from the Vulgate + King James Bible's. The imagery of Satan and Lucifer goes much further back than Rome. Babylon is where the Dawn Star, the Scape Goat, and the Serpent come from. The first two weren't seen as "evil" by the ancient Jews. The Serpent was portrayed so because it was holy to the Babylonians, who oppressed them. Religious history is full of borrowing from other theologies.
I don't worship satan, and I'm an atheist. i don't believe in a higher power, so therefore i CAN'T BELIEVE IN SATAN. i don't understand what's so hard to understand about that.
Quite a reactionary one, this poppy character!! LOL. My opinion? (Whether you're asking for it or not)Whether you care for the music, his image or not, how about not voicing an opinion at all? A debate like this can go on forever. They always do.The self-righteous "right winger" and the annoyed fan.(Respectfully) Sometimes the loudest statement is the person who says nothing at all.
