When I was younger I did a dance performance to this song and it was honestly epic, we had great costuming, make up, an incredible dance that fit well with the music and there were even smoke machines that added a creepy more Marilyn Manson effect to it. Best dance performance of my life

I'd agree. This version has a salacious quality that is missing from the original, despite the implication of the lyrics. I also just prefer this cover to the original, though I like both.
What I like about the Marilyn Manson version is that he didn't even try to make it sound like the Eurythmics original. But then Marilyn Manson doesn't seem like the kind of artist that would want to copy styles from other people or groups. I was very surprised when I first heard of the name 'Marilyn Manson' as I had always expected it to be a female artist. Sometime ago, I found out that Marilyn Manson was actually a male artist. I was surprised when I found that out.

absolutely love this remake. in my opinion, it isfar better than the original. his voice is incredible, very haunting and in a way, soothing. love the guitar intro and the beat that carries throughout the song. his guitar skills are amazing. not a fan or Marilyn Manson but this song is incredible.

I love Marilyn Manson. The way he gives me IDGAF vibes, inspires me to achieve anything I want. For instance, me not wanting to do something because I feel like someone going to judge me; listening to Marilyn changes my thought to fxck what they think I'm doing what I want, there going to judge even though I do something I think there not. Platinum Awhile back Manson and Zombie were in a state that had a really strict cerfew. Basicly, Manson would show up late to preform and would end up cutting into Zombie's stage time. Later Rob publicly bullshited Manson. I think the problems resolved now.
I don't even understand how tf they used this song for that fucked up character. Like, I, unfortunately, was in a faze, but I never thought this song sounded like that story. Tbh, I'm not too big a fan of Manson, but this cover is amazing not matter how many times I listen to it and no matter how much time passes from it. It's so haunting

I'm 29. My first concert was Marilyn Manson when I was 9yo. My And sister was 18. She took me. It was amazing. Been a fan since I was very little because my sister really... Never grew out of the phase lol. Course I don't dress crazy or anything like that..
I'd say as someone who doesn't care much for Marilyn Manson, that you can tell he put thought into this, even though this is a remake of the original. You can still hear the pain in his voice when he made this.

Someone once told me the Eurythmics version was better because the singers had haunting voices. I asked, "What, is Manson's nice and frilly?" Seems pretty haunting to me. And I agree with you, this one is better in my opinion.
Logan Chase The Eurythmics Have a ghost-like voice, whilst Marilyn Manson has more of a slow and low growl, making me think of a monster haunting dreams. Both are great, just different.
Logan Chase I don't like the Eurythmics version because I feel it's too fast beated. The lyrics feel like they should be slow, and I feel like the Eurythmics rush through the song.
I'm not even a fan of Marilyn Manson but I like this song. Also, did you know that this song is a remake of another song by a different band. The original was more upbeat and it was techno. But I personally like this version better.
I also noticed that even though he makes controversial content and may seem crazy, he's actually a very intelligent man. I like that even though people think he's crazy, he really is the complete opposite.

The guy's eccentric, dark, and probably has a secret or ten, but I don't think psychopathy is one of them.
