I know what you mean, it’s simply because of the evolution of American english~ not American myself but I went to school there for some years so I picked up an American accent~ then I went abroad later on and heard many people say American English is one of the worst there is due how lazy and inarticulate it sounds~ I kind of agree haha is very standard and plain! Wish they talked like they did 60-70 years ago!

It's so sad and even makes me a bit angry that she was always cast as a dumb blond because she was definitely not dumb and she wasn't even blond. She worked hard on her own professional development; studying techniques that were developed at the Group Theater; even paid for her own training and you can tell by the performances that she paid attention in class. After putting in all that hard work I can understand why she got tired of being type cast - she was a smart woman and she wanted more interesting roles. She was smart enough to think strategically after getting dropped by MGM & went to perform in front of 60,000 Marines at the USO show in Korea... after which MGM came crawling back to her with a more suitable contract (which she deserved).

Liquidbraino: Marilyn was born blonde and was blonde for the first years of her life. He hair darkened as she reached her teens, so when she went blonde at the start of her career, it was just a return to her natural state.

I think if she stayed at MGM, it might have been a better move than 20th Century Fox. She could have easily become Lana Turner's successor
@mrsnorthstar8544

I agree completely. I was a model during my teens and then encouraged to try acting. They offered me a lead role on my first try and I turned it down because they wanted me to do a makeout scene and strip off some clothes. It was the same with modelling. More and more layers off. More and more faces telling you that's what YOU HAVE TO DO to succeed. Now I make videos here on youtube and I have my Instagram and I'm the boss over what happens. I could see where it was all heading and it scared me. I wish it could have been different for Marilyn.

I don't understand ! There is 2 people who don't like this video ! How can't they be touched by this angel ? Perhaps their lives are an hell which close their eyes and then they are unable to see all the beautys of the world ! However Marilyn is so beautiful and talented that it is impossible to have bad thought about her💖💋💖💋💖💋💖

Красавица была постоянно под прицелом камер. Широко улыбаться, восхитительно выглядеть, ловить похотливые взгляды мужиков... Бедняжка! А что у неё в душе было? Погубили молодую женщину!

One of her best acting performances in that film, but I have to agree with Laurence Olivier, she was more a model than an actor

Well, that explains why she says "ah" and "uh" and has so many small pauses in her interviews and doesn't seem to like interviews much. Scripts are one thing but interviewers throwing you curve balls would be pretty anxiety inducing for someone with a speech impediment.
