Marilyn, you will always be a screen legend, and a real actress. You captured, and showed emotions without saying a word. Your look has been copied many times but you are the original. Loved by men, and admired by women to this day, you are truly one of the sexiest actresses who ever graced the silver screen. Class, beauty, brains, wit, and charm, you had it all. It's no wonder Joe loved you until the day he died, and your reunited now. There is only one woman called "Marilyn Monroe", and you created her Norma Jean. May you rest in eternal peace knowing that you will never be forgotten. I truly believe with what I have read about you, that your early death was purely a accident. Others may disagree but I don't believe it. You simply had everything to live for, and you were "On Top". In your photos, news reel clips, and of course movies, you will never age another day. A young beautiful woman who was full of life, and who touched so many others. I surely hope your wings are as golden as your hair. "God Bless You Honey" for sharing your life with us. How I only wish I could have known you. With Love, I Will Always Keep A Good Thought For You....P.S. Thank You So Much For Posting This Video As A Tribute To This Beautiful Woman Who Will Live Forever In Our Hearts.. Thank You Lacey Noel....

Marilyn, wherever you are or whatever you do now, I hope you are fine. May love, peace and joy be with you every second... And I hope that perhaps, someday, I can say hello to you on the other side. And if not, just a little glimpse from far woud be okay too. Take care my dear.

For some reason this video actually really made me almost feel like crying. I can't even express the pain that many people felt even about 55 years since her death :(

My baby girl is 92 now she’s flying with god and the angels i can’t imagine how this girl was feeling behind the big screen being in the spotlight probably brings a lot of pressure to celebrity’s but she’s finally free and looking down at earth knowing that she had so many beloved fans it’s sad that she’s gone but she’ll always be in my heart ❤️😔😭

Lacey thank you for the positive insight on Marilyn. Some people just like to think the worst about people. She created the persona of Marilyn, a caricature that is enduring and timeless.

WHAT IS HER LEGACY? she was sexualized in movies, used for her looks, as a feminist I am pissed off..
@MissLaceyNoel
@MissLaceyNoel 8 лет назад
Oh really? I'm pissed at you as a feminist. You clearly know nothing. She got away from Hollywood and went to NYC to start her own production company, but you wouldn't know, bc those kind of things aren't something people talk about. She was one of the first female producers. In the 1950’s, actors didn’t get to choose their film roles, they had to make whatever movies the studios assigned. Marilyn was frustrated with constantly having to play the dumb blonde and when studio execs refused to give her opportunities to play more serious roles, she walked out on her contract and went into hiding. She reemerged in January 1955 with photographer and business partner Milton Greene and announced the formation of Marilyn Monroe Productions. She was only the third woman to start a production company. "I feel wonderful. I'm incorporated." -- MARILYN MONROE, 1955In December 1954, shortly after the completion of The Seven Year Itch, Marilyn formed Marilyn Monroe Productions, Inc., with photographer Milton Greene. She famously performed for soldiers in Korea, but Marilyn did a lot of charitable works. In 1952 she sidetracked a publicity tour to visit an orphanage and a children’s hospital. She performed at many benefits: for St. Jude’s Hospital in 1953, as a model in a 1958 March of Dimes fundraiser, and in 1955 rode around Madison Square Garden on an elephant that had been painted pink to help the Arthritis and Rheumatism Benefit. She donated her earnings from the world premiere of The Prince And The Showgirl to the Milk Fund For Babies in 1957. While visiting a Mexican orphanage in 1962 she initially wrote a check for $1,000, then tore it up and wrote a new one for $10,000. Her last public appearance was for a benefit for muscular dystrophy. Marilyn even provided for charity after her death- 25% of her estate’s earnings go to the Anna Freud Center, a psychiatric clinic for children. August 1972 article in MS magazine: “I owe Marilyn Monroe a real debt. It was because of her that I played the Mocambo, a very popular nightclub in the ’50s. She personally called the owner of the Mocambo (who had refused to book Fitzgerald because she was black), and told him she wanted me booked immediately, and if he would do it, she would take a front table every night. She told him - and it was true, due to Marilyn’s superstar status - that the press would go wild. The owner said yes, and Marilyn was there, front table, every night. The press went overboard… After that, I never had to play a small jazz club again. She was an unusual woman - a little ahead of her times. And she didn’t know it.” - Ella Fitzgerald
