It's a Battle of the Bands! Marines with the III Marine Expeditionary Force faced off against band members from the South Korean Army. The battle was deemed a tie. Who do you think won? Video by: Sgt. Benito Hijar
Sun Moon... be proud, that is simply due to mutual respect. I, as a young Marine had the privilege of serving along side of a ROK Marine in the very early days of the Vietnam war. Fierce warriors they were, and I, at 19 years old knew my ROK Marine counter part was covering my six and he knew I had his, Semper Fi.
rufsmith1 My father was a UDT instructor and also served in Vietnam. I am proud of being a Korean, and I am of my father that he served for his country. However, I honoring my ROK marines and thinking that the result of this competition is shameful are irrelevant. Because I chose US Marines as winners, does not mean that I am ashamed of ROK soldiers.
@@anstjsdlr If you watch more of these videos where the different bands of the U.S. Marine Corps, they will always give the win to the opponent or call it a tie. Simply because of their humble nature and their respect of their opponents.
All were represented, after all...they did have a parade as announced. They all one, having to be stoic sucks. Primarily,Thankfully! Pride was shown and celebrated for, too, and about the moment.
Dallin Hutch no it's korea the MEF or marine expeditionary force or at least that detachment is stationed out of okinawa japan they probably flew out to korea for a training or something
Great to see the US Marine Corps band in my birth country of South Korea. Clearly the US Marines won this drum battle and they were so diplomatic to call it a tie. As a Korean American, I am continually grateful to all US service men and women, defending South Korea today. America made such a tremendous sacrifice of lives to save South Korea from communism during the Korean War and US military continues to stand and defend South Korea to the present day. May God bless and protect the men and women of our US military for being the greatest defenders of freedom.
I love that the ROK and the USA are friends. I used to clean house for a widow who's husband fought in the Korean War and was stationed there afterwards, "he loved the people" she would always tell me. I share his sentiment as you can probably tell from my picture lol.
I will never not watch this and be filled with admiration and pride! Pride for the US Marines, and admiration for the Koreans who cheered louder for their competition than they did themselves! Love this video.
The mission of the Marine Corps Drum and bugle corps is to locate, close with and destroy the other band by BDE, and to repel the other bands assault by straight fire beats.
Drum lines --- MARINES ALL THE WAY Seeing S. Korea's drumline getting into their performance .. Witnessing a very special performance by the BEST OF FRIENDS. HOW COOL IS THAT ????? !!!!!!!!

Like a DCI corps whipping up on a Middleschool battery not even close. But with that said, my highschool drumline had a similar experience with the commandants own. They pretended to lose to us, it all started when they heard us playing troop march b (their main cadence)
This was good exchange between both bands. I've worked and trained with along side ROK Marines. They're ust as tough and full of the same fighting sprit as US Marines.
Really?! They were great, granted, but I refer you to this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sCUOPwU7jmg.html Although not college lines, you should also see this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5x5KVP2QWJE.html and this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kd8UXijXtqM.html
