The Army uses landing craft and other vessels to ferry soldiers, vehicles and supplies ashore. Marine Engineers keep these vessels seaworthy, using metalworking skills like welding and brazing to keep them sound and rust-free. They also repair and maintain their engines, from small outboards to powerful marine diesels.
