I wonder how often something goes wrong and a tank rolls over. Great video. I'm sure its a tense atmosphere doing something where things could cataclysmically wrong at any moment.

It’s intimidating because the Abrams is wider than the train car, but as long as you have good ground guides and your not a bad driver it’s relatively easy to get on/off the train.

I load these heavy Abrahams at our port here in Jacksonville Florida and let me tell you those chains and cowbells are no joke. And imagine doing it in 110° Florida heat with the humidity. I’ve seen grown men tap out on those trains lol. Local 1408 ILA STRONG 💪🏾

Wonder why they can't say set up two vertical poles at the end of each carriage and let the driver use that to line up to keep centred.

If only there’s an easier way to do this? Pretty cool seeing 100 tanks passing by on a train, especially in the desert like

I think that wagon is not designed to transport that kind of equipment. Look at the horizontal clearance.. Its too risky for human / mechanical failure and damaging the equipment

Weird they have been putting two 70 ton tanks on each rail car for years for not being designed for it lol
@Envious__
@Envious__ 2 года назад
The cars can handle much heavier weight than the Abrams. Its how we transport our tanks cross country. As well as almost every military vehicle. Load it up and strap it down on a train wait a few days and boom its there

There's no wishing about it uncle Sam will take you right at 18 almost no questions asked and getting through basic just requires a hell of a lot of grit. I lived on Military bases for 11 years so I know a thing or two.

Now that they've given up on tanks, I'm wondering if they'll send the Taliban whatever we have left. Wouldn't be surprised at this point

They haven't given up on tanks yet. The Abrams is still getting more upgrades. The only issue is whether they'll abandon them back in Afghanistan again -_-
