I watched the entire first season of Pasion De Galavines on Netflix and thought it was the best shows in the world. Nothing compared to it. I thought the casting of Juan Reyes and Norma Elizondo as a couple was perfect. And Jimenez Elizondo and Franco Reyes was perfect. I never thought Jimenez Elizondo and Oscar Reyes were compatible onscreen. There was no chemistry between them. And I never thought Sara Elizondo and Franco Reyes were compatible onscreen. There was no chemistry between them. Oscar Reyes and Sara Elizindo would have been a better match. And, Rosario Montes was a good match for the El Acala bar owner husband she married. My major criticisms were when Bernardo Elizondo, the husband of Gabriela Elizondo and father of Norma, Sara, and Jimena seduced a 17 year old, Libia Reyes, a Virginia, and got her pregnant. He was old enough to be her grandfather and as a minor that made him a pedophile in many countries, where she was considered a minor, under, 18. I found it hard to believe that Libya would have fallen for an old, overweight, unattractive man when she was very pretty, and had three, young, handsome brothers who loved and adored her and brought her up as a lady. And, Bernardo,, a rich, respected, family man and businessman was out of character for seducing a minor. It disgusted me watching their scenes together, and reminded me of the book and movie, Lolita. My other criticism was Norma should never have been raped, just an attempt where they caught the rapists would have been enough. And Bernardo, hated Fernando Escandon, the husband she was forced to marry by her mother, Gabriela, to cover up a rape was out of character for the dad permitting the marriage and Norma just agreeing to it. She never got pregnant and it wasn't her fault. I didn't like Gabriela, she was very cold, demeaning, abusive, hostile, to everyone, even her daughters who looked like weakling putting up with it. And, Bernardo, doing nothing to stop it, despite disagreeing with it. As for Gabriela marrying Fernando, her daughter Norma ex, and being stupid enough to let him do what he wanted, that was out of character for her to let him have free reign. She was never a good, loyal, loving mother to her daughters, so that was no surprise. As for Dina Morales, the crazy, murdering stalker in love with Juan Reyes, it was hard to believe how much she got away with when the Elizondos and Reyes weren't united to intervene. The focus was more on love and sex, over, logic, reason, and common sense, and protection./ I then watched the entire series of Pasion De Galvines II and from the start it was nothing like the original and remained that way. There were new scripts, that never flowed from the original series. I disliked most of this series from beginning to end. Twenty years later, this series was filled with crime, hostility, violence, vulgarity, and nothing flowed and was believable. It demoralized and misrepresented Columbia as a country making outsiders believe that's all this country and its citizens are about in a negative way. Many of the recurring, main characters were nothing like the original characters. The original, Juan Reyes would never have been an abusive father to his children, like he was to his twins, Eric and Leon. He would have known how to handle them with the right words and actions, not fists. And, he and Norma had a true love that nothing and no one could have interfered in it, no matter what and they would never have doubted it and split up for any reason. Jimena looked like a total airhead throughout. Oscar, might of had a roving eye but he never would have cheated on Jimena. And not with a crazy, mistress and murderer. He also would have protected Jimenez from her. And, Franco had so many lawyers and business advisors, that they would have caught any attempt for someone to defraud him. Yet, instead he reached out to no one, divorced Sara, and ended up in a foreign prison, which would never have happened. And, Sara would never have gone against her daughter, Gabi, and fallen for Demetrius, her stalker. She would have protected her daughter and believed her. With everything the Reyes and Elizondos went through, they would have all evolved into very capable, intelligent, humans, couples, family members, employers, society members, and business persons that no one would have been able to divide and conquer. Instead, they came across as naive, stupid, weak, and doing little to figure out and protect themselves, their family, their employees, their friends, etc. from all the adversity. Despite having money, security systems, and technology, it was rarely used, despite how many times they were victimized. They had incompetent and corrupt law enforcement and a mayor and did nothing to change that. As far as Rosario Montes, she reverted back to who she always was, a crazy, self serving, attention getting, selfish woman that was never happy and satisfied, and made everyone pay the price. To go after, Juan David Reyes, who she knew as a baby, drug him, get away with it, seduce him, and stalk him, and get away with it was hard to believe his family did little to intervene. And for Rosario to set up and harm her own daughter, Muriel, and try to take Juan David from her was too far to buy even for Rosario. As for Juan David and Muriel, they were selfish and put everyone at risk to stay together. This was put of character for Juan David. As for Rosarios abusive, crazy, murdering husband, Samuel, its hard to believe he's a renowned surgeon and no one thought to get law enforcement involved which would have ended his career and status. As for Gunter, hard to believe that Rosario, Muriel, and Samuel, would all trust him at any time, since he blew with the wind and was not loyal to any of them. He should have been killed by Rosario in self defense. And, for Rosario to go back to Samuel in the end, after having a criminal, abusive, first husband, and enough evidence against both was unlike her character. This second season was one of the worst series ever written and taped. I'm surprised the recurring actors never protested in wanting a better script. / If there's ever a season 3, I hope that its doesn't continue with the death threat that ended season 2 for the Elizondo/Reyes families. And they remember, season 1.
