Lol, don't worry, Andre, I was that kid too. I would read the manual on the car ride home from the store to get me excited to finally getting to play the game XD Sadly, by the time I began my gaming childhood, content-laden manuals were beginning to grow scarcer. By the time I was 12 I realized that manuals no longer would provide me with any interesting tidbits about the game, and that really made me sad.

Super Mario Brothers every morning before preschool. I cant remember if I knew what I was doing but I know I loved it and it shaped my childhood. Nintendo always has a place in my home.

I'd LOVE it if you did an entire video just going through those old NPs. Just the letters pages alone would provide SOOOOOOO much material. XD I've always been wanting to expand my NP collection with NES/SNES/N64 era issues since that mag essentially WAS my childhood, but I've never gotten around to it. Also, my favorite Mario game is Super Mario RPG. DAT SOUNDTRACK.

My little brother went through such a Mario phase when he was 8 that he made my mom go buy EVERY season of the cartoon. It was way before my time but the pasta jokes were top of the line.

My favorite Mario Moment was the end of Super Mario Galaxy 1 when the Luma sacrifices itself, and the rest of its kind, in a heartfelt goodbye to recreate the galaxy that Bowser had destroyed. Strong stuff, I think.

The day I beat Super Mario Bros... I remember it so very vividly. My aunt and uncle (also gamers) were visiting... I screamed when I hit the axe and everyone came running... Mom and dad were like "Don't do that.. You scared the hell out of us." My aunt, who also just recently finished the game, was extremely congratulative.. Mom also then figured out what I did and was happy for me as well.

Probably amongst the most memorable moments was the reveal of Super Mario Bros 3. in the Wizard. And then after that, that one scene in Beethoven where all the kids were playing it. One of them even had the Power Glove and they were somehow co-oping the game. Silly Hollywood.

Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are up there as some of my favorite Mario games.Playing Mario Party and Super Mario 64 on my sister's N64 was a good memory from my childhood.

My favorite Mario moment was as a kid with the original Nintendo FINALLY getting the Koopa on the Stairs 1UP trick to work. My 10 year old self went nuts!

Super Mario World for the SNES was my favorite. Since the NES came out well after i was born (FYI I was born in 92) i loved playing it by moyself and with my neighbor back in the late 90's.

I think my favorite Mario moment was finally finding the last blue coin in Super Mario Sunshine after SEVEN YEARS of looking around for it, and getting the "alternate" ending. It's the moment that caused me the most stress, but when I found it, I was so dang happy. Close second is beating Super Mario 64 one hundred percent and meeting Yoshi at the top of the castle.

I've been a Mario fan since day 2. Mario Bros for the Atari was the first Mario game I ever played. When Super Mario Bros came out, it blew my mind. I was a Mario fanatic to the exclusion of most other games.

DUUUUUDE!!!! I lived in North Carolina temporarily last summer and stumbled across Lost Ark!! Amazing little game shop/arcade. Totally had to buy one of their shirts.

The first Mario memory that came to mind was when I was a kid, my first console was SNES and Super Mario World came with it of course. I had a cousin who was probably in his 20's at the time and he was really into video games and knew all the secrets and what not, he used Star Road and made it to Bowsers Castle thus beating the game. To me, that was a big deal at the time as I hadn't made it through the game yet. My mind was blown, I didn't know about Star Road and it just opened up the world of Dinosaur Island to me even further. I also remember the part where Bowser, in his flying machine, zoomed out and in the screen freaked me out. I don't know what it was, but when I was a kid, things flying out at me on the TV always freaked me out and scared me. lol Thank you Nintendo, for scarring me for life.... :P

I loved playing all the Super Mario Brothers game, and I also watched The Super Mario Brothers Super Show, Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World a lot. The Super Mario Brothers Super Show was my favorite show as a kid.

I might be a kid, but I am a Mario FANATIC. I own tons of the mario plushes (even the koopalings), and tons of the games, old and new. I even have the Mario movie and the Tv show, both on DVD lol.

That story in the Mario 2 game gave me a nightmare. I dreamed that Mario and friends walked up towards that staircase and when they jumped through the door and fell down, instead of them falling it was me. Lol

Mario 2 is in the top 3 of favorites on my list of Mario games. I'm so old I remember playing Mario Brothers on the Atari 2600. That was the days before Nintendo had a console. The version of Mario Brothers on the 2600 wasn't that good either . Thanks to Nintendo for taking us out of the Dark ages of gaming and showing us gaming can be fun.

Favorite Mario Moment was seeing the big reveal in the Wizard and wegot our first look at Super Mario Brothers three waaaaay before it came out. I begged my parents for months after that for the game. Got it the following Christmas. So while the Wizard may not be the greatest movie to some it hold a special place for me.

My favorite moment has to be is when I finally figured out how to get over that long jump in world 8 (I believe) on Mario's One. I don't know how many times I've thrown the controller at my television because I was unable to cross over. LOL

1.) yes, do a video on the Nintendo Power issues. 2.) MY best Mario moment was in Paper Mario (N64) when I had to go on a hunt for a badge issued by the wizard guy, witch involved finding a red palm tree. It was as if it was a mission out of "the Alchemist"

Awesome video!! I think we grew up in the same generation because I played the original Mario too. I also had a Virtual Boy with Mario Tennis. My favorite moment was probably all the time spent playing Mario on the NES. Second best was going nuts when N64 came out and playing Mario on that. I also loved the cartoon! But I loved just about any cartoon during the 80s/90s!

I saw every single episode of the Super Show, Adventures of Mario 3, and Mario World cartoon multiple times. I've seen the Super Mario Bros. movie more times than I've seen the sun. I've met Charles Martinet, and after meeting him two more times he remembered who I was. I've read every single Super Mario comic (including the Valiant comics, the mangas, the Nintendo Power comics, the German comics, etc.) I own physical copies of every possible Mario soundtrack I could find (without pirating). I know practically every single obscure Mario fact possible. Mario is pretty much my life.

My favorite Mario game is super Mario all stars! That game had a bunch of Mario games! When I was little I didn't know I was emulating the game(a family friend had put emulators on our computer). I remember I was really little and when I got past the 1st level I was so happy !!

The Super Mario Bros Super show was absolutely magical back in the day, ALMOST as magical as captain N the game master. ;) Still love it til this day. It was great how they injected their own little pee wees playhouse formula in the live action mix. XD And whenever the legend of Zelda came on it felt like a HUGE deal.
