Reading Luigi's Challenge letter was the only letter in-game that made me feel bad enough to the point that I couldn't refuse. It was a twist to the knife when we *HAD* to win against him and hear him say "I'm a loser..." over a double bogey.
I love that you’re playing Toadstool Tour! This game is, IMO, the best game in the Mario Golf series! ...Of course, that may change with the upcoming release of Super Rush.
This game makes me wish that there should be a little more voice work in the more recent Mario games, because some of the lines in this game are just freaking awesome.
God dammit. I was really hoping Super Rush would surpass this game, but instead, it doesn't even have a tenth of this one's personality. Now I just want to find a copy, and play this again.
I did not grew up with the GameCube era but I was curious to see what Mario Golf was like back in the day, and what frustrates me the most, seeing how people criticize Golf Super Rush have boring looking courses with no mario themes saying “the older games were better” YET in this video shows a course that not much is going on and has no Mario theme stuff on it….WTF people its the same thing but just on GameCube….I think Nostalgia is their excuse….I swear the Mario Community can be obnoxious sometimes…
In any Mario Golf game, the first course or two are pretty basic. The unique elements start getting added in the third course where you start hitting over pyramids and the fourth course has bunkers with interesting shapes. You should take a look at Peach's Castle Grounds and Bowser Badlands where the true Mario elements are added in and blow away anything shown in Super Rush (at the moment).
@@Mrperson0 Don’t get me wrong I understand the criticisms with the new Mario Golf game, it is just obnoxious to me when fans rather stay in the past than what we have now. But hey Nintendo can’t please everyone that’s for sure. Yeah the new Mario Golf game is basic but it will get better over time. But even Mario Golf super Rush has some elements to Mario. To be fair I have become pessimistic with Nintendo games now.
@@t00nvisi0n I see what you mean. That, I agree with. For example, you will see Mario Golf 64 fanboys disliking later games even though Toadstool Tour improved on it in every way. People are against change a bit too much, and nostalgia is definitely a huge factor. The main feature of the new Mario Golf game is the updated Speed Golf mode, and fans have to understand that all the changes Camelot made were based around that.
@@Mrperson0 Thank You! I never think Nostalgia is a bad thing, it is an amazing feeling! Did not grew up with GameCube but I did grew up with Wii. Nostalgia is great but when people hang on to it more, it gets difficult to move forward in life. Change is inevitable, and while not all change can be good it is still something we can’t avoid.
I mention it in the description. It's a prologue to the actual walkthrough. These matches don't actually count as wins on the Character Match scorecard, so you have to face every character with Neil or Ella again anyway. Here's the entire playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLGl4sVobBlUQEX9uSsMRdXoadoDf_BJr4
