You forgot the glider ramp before the temple in DK Jungle, the first underwater tunnel in Sherbert Land, and a hard right just before the ramp at the end of Mute City.
Gaiacrusher9fan2 he also forgot going between the inside wall and the tree on Hyrule circuit just after the master sword jump (admittedly he took the longer shortcut on the left side of the road)
Gaiacrusher9fan2 super big thing he forgot is the mk8 rainbow road extreme short cut. Go on right path and when a certain left happens go right slightly, use two mushrooms and u just jump the entire double road part
I know this is years old now, but there's another shortcut in Mute City. You can see the ramp to the right of Shy Guy at 14:18, and you can get there by going right before the drop off where the offroad starts and then using a mushroom. Hope this helps someone. :)
Toads harbour was a long-cut, the shortcut is to go straight past the wide section with the trams and cut as tight to the wall as you can over the grass with a dash mushroom then let go for a skid boost at the end :)
1. This video really isn't necessary as no new tracks are added 2. You missed quite a lot of shortcuts 3. I wouldn't call slightly trimming the corner a shortcut, for example, 2:10
The one at 5:31 can actually be done WAY better. If u try and stay in the air from the jump just before that, u can skip the entire corner after while flying. It really saves a lot of time though it’s not easy
Jaii dude, stop flipping out. What JCL said is correct, he did leave out a ton of short cuts. Jaii and Veronica, stop being a bitch. Seriously, you both sound like a spoiled moody teenager
Why do so many people watch videos like this only to complain that stuff was missed (and then list it all out)? If you know all this stuff, why are you watching a tutorial that's clearly aimed at beginners? For folks like me (tryhards who are borrowing a Switch through coronavirus and are determined to come out of it better than their brother in law), this is very helpful, even if it isn't 100% comprehensive, and I appreciate the time and effort the poster put into gathering the footage and editing it together.
Boredom and curiousity mostly, I get it's helpful, but for most expert players it can be annoying to see something missed, also hope you enjoy the game! ou'll get to know even more shortcuts as time goes on!
You forgot one in toad harbor. At the end of each lap, if you turn into the "pit stop" area and follow the track (where the trams go) you can go through the tunnel.
Dude whenever I hear the drift sound I press the plus button.... and then I realize I'm not playing zelda and the drift sound is the same as the lightning sparks in botw
I’d like to see this in action with other players and their power ups on you. This is great and all but how do you do with a lightning or a red shell and a blue shell?
You don't need a mushroom for the second shortcut in Sunshine Airport (the one over the conveyor belt near the finish line); just press the trick button
A lot of this SC can be done without mooshroom in 200cc, likes the second and the third in MK stadium, the first in Thwomp Ruins, the cascade cut in Yoshi circuit... These are only example, everyone can find other shroomless SC EDIT: he isn't playing in 200cc
some of these are also possible even on 150cc without mushrooms like the two in ice ice outpost, the last thwomp ruins one, and the leaves at the end of cloud top cruise
I envisioned paths which cut corners "without boosts" and even with slow pace on grass it saves time over driving the circuit properly. I've seen a few tried online and they are what you need. This is just a TT help video.
You forgot the one in mute city when you are at the section where you see the track above you, turn to the right (right before the big jump) to find a shortcut with 2 jumps. You'll need one mushroom to get through it though
I only just now noticed that the starting "Mario Kart" logo at the finish/lap line has a different style depending on which game it came from. Anything before DS uses the old logo, while DS and afterwards uses the newer logo. (For some reason, Yoshi Circuit, Cheese Land, and Ribbon Road use the newer design.) Small detail, but one I appreciate.
Don't wanna be that guy, but on the first major drift section on Mario Kart Stadium, the one right before the antigrav section, you can skip the whole turn by boosting thru two pipes before the turn.
You forgot one in toad harbor. You can go where the trains are and if you go at right time you get through the stop gate and it makes you pass. And you can go underwater in the ice map
after playing mario kart most of my life i started playing crash team racing about 2 days ago and came to this video to compare the shortcuts. ctr really takes shortcuts to a different level in my opinion.
The intro in a nutshell: hey guys today we'll be looking at mario kart 8 deluxe shortcuts these shortcuts allow you to cut the tracks short because that's why it's called a shortcut so anyway these are some shortcuts that can help you save time some are more significant but all of them are still shortcuts because they all help you cut the track short hence the name shortcut but anyway without further ado let's look at some shortcuts that can help you when you play because that's what shortcuts are supposed to do, they help you go faster because they are shortcuts and they cut short of the intended route because they are shortcuts and shortcuts make you go faster and keep in mind these are not the same shortcut but regardless they are still shortcuts did I already mention that but anyway just in case you missed it, I will be showing you all of the shortcuts or smaller shortcuts corner cuts in mario kart 8 deluxe here are some awesome shortcuts
Dude, did you try to get a jumping feather in yoshi valley and then jump to cut the ramp before the giant yoshi egg to make n64 yoshi valley shortcout?... during a race
Also at 11:55 Is that even qualified as a shortcut? If you think about it on Time Trials taking the last shortcut on Yoshi Valley is faster. You use all your mushrooms so you don't have any on lap 2&3. Logic
You missed one at mute city before you go the ramp to the turns into the finish line if u check where the left wall ends there is a shortcut that may require a mushroom.
There was a short cut you forgot at mute Town it ist near at the end of the track before the last ramp you have to go right and bost over to ramps in the air
He missed that shortcut in Rainbow Road on the blue path. There's an opening there where you can boost to make it over to the lighter path. Not the ones he showed already. If you only take the blue path , at the end there's an open spot through the barricade.
