None of these were 'ultra' shortcuts, ultra shortcuts are effectively game-breaking.

These aren't ultra shortcuts. Ultra shortcuts are usually glitches, and ultra shortcuts aren't technically real shortcuts. They usually involve a wall clip, or some sort of exploit.

Apparently you don't know what ultra shortcuts are. But throughout me playing, there is this long glitchy shortcut on dry desert that at start, take a sharp right past the starting line and boost wheelie up this sand spot and you'll fly across 40% of the map; however, the chances of hitting this certain part of sand is quite unlikely since i don't know EXACTLY where that spot is to remember every time

These are not ultra shortcuts. an ultra shortcut is a shortcut that skips almost a complete lap. like the mkwii grumble volcano one (the original not the remake)

Nope thats called broken. You literally complete 3 laps in under 40 seconds there. But "ultra shortcuts" is a bit exagerative.

Hyper Kirby Well most people would say ultra shortcuts are more than just jumping part of a small turn. Ultra Shortcuts ARE broken, usually involving clipping through a wall or having Lakitu place you much farther on the track. I certainly wouldn't consider that shortcut in 3DS Mario Circuit 2, where you can fly inside the last turn, to be an ultra shortcut, or even the one at the end of 3DS Dino Dino Jungle. But a few of them are achieved through a near impossible yet totally legit jump. Just look at that jump near the end of Wii Bowser Castle 3, or how on 3DS Maple Treeway you can glide out of the cannon straight up to the treetop with the wigglers.

I don't think you know what ultra shortcuts are... These are normal shortcuts, ultra shortcuts skip lots of the track, are very hard to perform, and often require glitches and/or exploiting of the game's mechanics. None of these were ultra. Number 2 wasn't even a shortcut, that was intended to be in the game.

Toxic can you do a video on a technique that was in mk7 and might be in mk8. Basically when you do trick that will boost you when you touch the surface of a water section, make you kart face downwards (how you would to lose air time in mkwii) and the boost will propel you much farther than normal. You can try this on wario's galleon and the start of cheep cheep lagoon

those are not ultra shortcuts. they are indeed the biggest shortcuts found in this game, but it does not do a lap in a few seconds (read: Wii Grumble volcano). they are also not that hard.

Mate non of these are Ultra shortcuts. an Ultra shortcut is where you skip major checkpoints that is gamebreaking. The most famous example is the Grumble Volcano in Mario Cart Wii. You can complete a 3 lap timetrial in less than 20 seconds.

look desc.,btw you wouldn't even now anything about checkpoints if you haven't watched Summoning Salts vid :) Look at Toxic's older Mkwii videos ( like tas/taf) i think he nows pretty much about what a ultra shortcut is. mario kart wii you write with a K and not with a C L

xToxicHD It's not faster than the other SCs, but its still faster than the current TTs where they're drifting with the red drift into the boost panel and wasting the red drift, this strat allows you to cut the corner AND not waste the red drift, besides it doesn't require a mushroom which makes it usable.
