9:22 distance-based items is why you got a star. the 8 deluxe item system is both distance and placement based, but this game is only distance, which kinda sucks when you're in 12th and can get a single green because you're too close to first (this has happened to me multiple times) (also, the sliding when you're at a standstill isn't just on certain road, that's just how standstill turning is in this game for some reason)
Just to point out facts, but 8 Deluxe itself has a lot of mechanical depth and tech. On a basic level they're the same, but on a fundamental mechanical level they are 2 completely different beasts. There are also many more players who played 8 deluxe who never owned a Wii U...not that I think you should have to pay to play online. You're already paying for your internet connection in the first damn place.
@@Victini862 Yeah sad how many probably never knew about the Wii U At least 8 Deluxe was finished(as much as I generally dislike the game) The dumbest thing with NSO is Nintendo doesn't do actual servers once you connect to a lobby but they charge you anyway
