More shenanigans with the leaked debug build.
With the single player conquered by the AI, naturally I grew curious as to what would happen if I placed four of them into multiplayer versus. Suffice to say, some results were...interesting. I went by character choice instead of kart and picked ones most likely to get chosen by competitive players based on their special items...except for Diddy Kong with Petey Piranha on the Parade Kart since that's my main combination for this game. This unfortunately meant I had to place two of the CPUs in Parade Karts for King Boo and Petey Piranha despite the fact that the Barrel Train is the best kart in the game. The Bullet Blaster was picked for last because some Time Trial world records used to use it. Because of its bounciness it leads to some shortcuts being easier to perform in certain circumstances.
I actually planned to have an overlay across the footage akin to what actual Mario Kart tournaments have, and I even created a "POINTS" graphic specifically for this. Unfortunately, none of the video softwares I have supports it so I had to leave it, plus a score counter, out of the video. :(
To anyone curious, here's what the tallied up scores were in the end according to the point system tournaments use. (3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd, and 0 for last)
