Mario Kart DS Codes: DK Pass Texture Hack

This is an old texture hack I made back in 2011/2012.
I took down the original video back then for some reason, so I decided to redo it.
Just pick DK Pass, and it should work. You might end up in Wario Stadium for some reason. Don't know why.
It refuses to work with DeSmuME because of the pointer. I had to use Cheat Engine to get it working in the video.
Made for the US version of MKDS.
The user baseballdude13000 apparently fixed the code, so credits to him for that. :P

Nah, part of the code changes the instruments in the music. If you remove that bit, it will sound normal.

Supastarrio desumue is weird with texture hacks. you must use the pointer you made to get texture hacks working in desumue not my pointer cause it crashes. your pointer is best with emulators and mine is best for hardware. davidevgen Ah, there it is. I lost that double pointer when my computer died. It would of saved me a lot of time yesterday... Oh well. Does turning that off fix some of the crashes with pointers?

Supastarrio possibly yes. all i know if even making changes directly in the desumue hex editor will not effect the game with a valid address. so imo leave it off when coding. turn it on when playing. maybe that why cheat engine wasnt working with it properly.

It's unlikely I'll be making anymore code videos. MKDS has been thoroughly destroyed, and there probably isn't much else to find. WFC shutting down also killed my interest.

+Melvin Wintermeyer Action Replay DSi doesn't work on a 3DS, but I have a feeling there may be one for it soon, since they have SD card slots like a Wii, and that's how Wiis get their cheats

I need to know how to put these hacks on a Virtual Console edition from a Wii U. Can someone please tell me how? Can you still insert an Action Replay into a Wii U?

Action Replay codes on the Virtual Console aren't happening. You would be best off just using an emulator.

I used DeSmuME for this, but the codes will work for an Action Replay DSI regardless.

Action Replay DSi, it's like an adapter that goes into the game card slot, and your actual game card goes into that (MKDS in this case)

Just use Action Replay Code Manager on a computer to copy and paste the code onto the card

QB Machine For some reason, that doesn't work. I plug the AR into my computer and nothing happens. Also, I use iMac so ARCM doesn't work either. Even with Wine, because it's a .Ink file, which doesn't work on iMac.
