I don't disagree at all. Personally I feel like this should have just been more of a "Bowser's Castle Adventure" dark ride or something like that, but what is there is really cool looking! Just take the visor off when they give it to you!
I think they got excited for the AR tech and made all ride decisions around that. Slowing the experience down enables the AR to work better vs a higher speed ride. Also, idk what the height requirement is on this ride but it’s probably less than a faster dark ride coaster. This seems like a better ride system and tech for a Pokémon snap ride where you take pictures of all the little Pokémon
Racing, yes. Speed, I don't know. Mario Kart's never been really know for proving a sensation of speed in any of their games, however another racing IP of Nintendo is. Lol
@@darkridearts I love that Pokemon Snap idea! Honestly, I thought the AR stuff just didn't work that well. It was too confusing to learn when you can only ride it once after spending an hour in line. If I was able to ride it over and over a bunch of times in a row, sure, but when most people are going to ride this one time in a day, it really is not that intuitive.
I wish it was faster as well, but honestly after riding it a few times, once you have the AR goggles on, there is so much happening at the same time that you honestly don’t pay any attention to how fast or slow you are really moving.

I honestly think a roller caster would have suited mariocart much better. I understand ar can be cool, but looking at this without it is kinda underwhelming
oh wow. . . .I can't believe how immersive and impressive the physical sets and animatronices are. Dang, I'd rather just treat it as a dark ride and watch the stunning design work, than mess with that visor. As I can't imagine anything in that visor would impress me more than the physical effects work!
I wonder after the augmented reality experience wears off if they will speed up this Ride (not that I don't think the augmented reality isnt cool - it is - I just think there needs to be a version that's fast like the Tron Legacy Coaster at Walt Disney's theme parks). It is cute! 😊
Feel like there’s a real opportunity for a faster ride where the car rotates and you can get some good laterals and the feeling of drifting. Theme on this is cool
IMO, that Ride should’ve had like a Fast Track or something. 🤔 I mean, a Ride that’s based off of a Game that’s all about speed, either a Fast Track or even a Roller Coaster or whatever Ride that’d be fast would be more fitting on it’s Theme. 🤔
As someone who's been a massive Nintendo and Mario Kart fanboy since childhood, I was so hyped for this and then the reality of it was the biggest disappointment ever. 😔 They should have created something akin to Disney's Test Track/Raditor Springs Racer instead of this crap.

Yeah it’s a huge missed opportunity. I lean towards Miyamoto who is obsessed with AR and stuff like that as the one who pushed for it. Baseless, other than looking at what kind of tech he focused on in the last 12-15 years.
