Both are equally fun I haven’t played either but design wise the second is much more in depth and creative due to what modern graphics will allow for But this one is much more cute and simplistic, I love the charm of the pixel sprites and pastel colors here kinda wish the modern update kept the present and pastel color theme more like this one!
It’s been hard telling that the DLC Track in MK8 actually even is Ribbon Road, despite what it says to be. Ribbon Road as we know takes place on a Massive Ribbon, the MK8 Track looks more like it’s in a Playroom, the music for the Track doesn’t even sound like a Remix.
The theme is there and the first part of the track matches. I think the acual ribbon road would have been too hard for that game, as ribbon road is a tough track.
@@JoshuaDZ It sounds absolutely nothing like this song. It’s more surf/reggae. Honestly the MK8 version could be named Toy Circuit and no one would be the wiser
The Ribbon Road in Mario Kart 8 is a great track, but despite what the game says, it's not a remake of the one from the GBA. The layout and music are completely different.
I grew up playing this game tons with my best friend I was happy at first when they remade it for MK8 but then immediately disappointed because it has a completely different vibe and the music sounds more like a bwach party than a playful tune
Yeah me too, unfortunately they announced "no more new content for Tour. 😭 I want to give MK8D a try, but I don't like their version of Ribbon Road. It's so boring and it sounds nothing like the original one.
Fortunately this track was remade for MK8's Retro Tracks... Imagine if it were put in the new DLC it would look much more like it does here thanks to the lack of effort Nintendo put on this new tracks lookalike
Even though Ribbon Road isn’t in Tour, I guarantee that if it was made for Deluxe’s DLC, the track and the music wouldn’t be as good as the one we have. Although I will say, Wave 2 has been far more enjoyable than Wave 1 ever was with 4 tracks being S tier worthy that have a visual quality that’s on par with the base game (though it did give us the worst track in the entire game being Mario Circuit 3).
I would have agreed with you in the past, but after how amazingly well they recreated Snow Land, Boo Lake and Riverside Park, I don't think that's true anymore. Really, it was just Sky Garden which got hit by the Wave 1 mediocrity (the only worthy tracks there are Paris Promenade, Coconut Mall and Ninja Hideaway)
@@skc4188 Every DLC GBA track has felt completely neutered. They're way too short. Sky Garden is the worst offender. That incredible track was ruined. Otherwise the DLC is fine lol
Hey I just got it before they released it on the 32X Landon the hedgehog return of the seven rings we just got it before they released it on the Sega 32x I really like this CD cartridge because it sticks out for a moment because there is no Landon or no Landon Tails or no color cuz tomorrow I'm going to be using a pencil to make the characters and make some colors for the Landon people I really like the CD cartridge with no people or no color or no Master emerald well I will be coloring and using a pencil tomorrow for the game before it really comes out but we got it before they were released it on the Sega 32x drink right now it features grassy football fields snowy mountains a desert with an airplane meow and even an egg station where you can eat eggs
