The music syncing with the leap into the stadium... All the cool ramps and half pipes to gather items or coins... Absolutely beautiful stage! Let us thrive in the nostalgia
Here’s my ranking of all Wii/Retro stages: 10: GBA Battle Course 3 Does this really come as a surprise to _anyone?_ This course is probably the most basic you can get for battle courses. Four block walls on the side, a sand pit in the center... and that’s it. It’s very basic. The castle in the background looks nice though. 9: SNES Battle Course 4 And here’s another simple battle course! This stage is a bit more active than the last, with 5 Block Walls this time! No more sand pit though. It’s very vanilla. 8: Thwomp Desert This course is good, but it has its problems. I like the desert background, and the Thwomp shaking the floor seems cool... but this stage is a circle. The cacti are annoying, and this course is really slippery. 7: GCN Cookie Land This course is easier to drive around and the background looks delicious! But again, it’s a circle. 6: DS Twilight House This course definitely looks great and has plenty of routes, but I wish there were more floors and that it wasn’t as confusing. The outside in annoying to drive around as well. 5: N64 Skyscraper This is a cool looking one. There’s an outer ring and a big area to drive around in the center. I like how it looks like it’s under construction. Pretty fun too. 4: Chain Chomp Wheel This may seem surprising, but I really like this course. The casino feel of it is awesome, and the aquarium in the background is amazing too. The half pipes fit perfectly, the jump in the center is super fun, and the chomp makes the whole stage feel alive. 3: Delfino Pier First I’ll start by saying: This course is way too big. However, everything else feels awesome. The bridge that goes down is super cool, jumping above chimneys is cool, being able to drive through the gate and inside the building also makes this course feel fresh. 2: Block Plaza Block Fort was an outstanding course, and this one is as well. The big statues of Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy also look really cool, and the background fits so well. All the bridges and different paths are fun, and the course falling apart makes this feel super unique. However, one course is better.. 1: Funky Stadium This is one amazing battle course! First off, it’s a stadium themed after Funky Kong, so that’s a big plus. Second, all the jumps and tricks you can do on ramps work really well in either mode! You can even drive by the stands and use a bunch of half-pipes! This course NEEDS to come back!
I think Funky Stadium is really hard for balloon battle just because of how huge the map is and how long you spend in the air. At least with Delfino Pier some parts are locked at certain times making it seem less big
Remember when Nintendo was so creative on Mario Kart Wii, no matter the characters, courses, battle arenas, colors on Yoshi, Birdo & Koopa Troopa, WiFi races, introduction on bikes & tricks, and making our childhood so awesome! Too bad that Nintendo isn’t much creative as they used to be years ago from the End of the Wii to Switch’s rise.
That's a mod he has put there. This doesn't happen in the regular game. You should notice how dry bones appears as a goomba and there is a different version of Donkey Kong and Bowser. Also notice how Toads mushroom head has inverse colours. This isn't me slating mario kart wii as its my favourite game but these changes u saw came from mods
I picture 5 year old me being stupid and exploring instead of actually playing. And also at that time i kept losing races because I didn't know 150cc was the hardest mode
watching this after playing 8 deluxe coin runners makes me realize there are way less coins in it compared to the Wii. i find it so hard to find coins in the new one!
thank you handy863. i was never never good at this battle. thanks to you you showed me some great ideas i usually play balloon battle which i am super good at.
Delfino fier was like legit the best course cause the bridge part man I miss those times going up the bridge when it got to the time 1:30 bring back some much memories
As far as I remember, at the Block Plaza the Blocks disappear when there are only 2 Minutes remaining & the Statues disappear when there is only 1 Minute remaining.
Four things I noticed: You can use blue shells in battle mode (???) Koopa troopa's shell will change color for whatever team he's on Yoshi will change color for whatever team he's on Birdo will change color for whatever team sh- he- it's on
Yeah i have mario kart 8 DELUXE and battle mode is good but wii u battle mode sucks like why do i want to go around fuckin toads turnpike Apart from if their were no cars then i would🤗
I would hide with 20 coins in funky stadium in the areas with 2 coins in them (blue) The CPUS never go there haha! This video brings me so many memories when I have 6 (8 years ago) ;((
I remember when I would play Team Vs or Battle on single player, no matter any of the settings, the blue team somehow always won. I never saw the red team win. So my childish brain associated blue team with winning and every time I was chosen for the red team I always went back to pick a character on the blue team. I played moderately well, but I seemed to always win simply by being on the blue team.
Watching this video makes me realize how garbage the MK7, MK8, and MK8 Deluxe battle modes are. This game had the best battle mode in the series. Especially in terms of the maps, new and old.
There's no way this is any better than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Battle Mode, which offers way more options to play and doesn't restrict you to play on teams only, that's the only flaw on Mario Kart Wii's Battle Mode.
@@light161_ Also, in Mario Kart Wii you aren't disqualified by getting all your balloons popped either so following your logic, all battle modes are rushed.
This was a pain online. Like, everyone is thirsty for them coins to the max. It's actually pretty hilarious seeing people going ham on everyone else just for dem coins my dudes. XD Also, is it bad that online for coin/balloon battles, I would just baracade myself with bananas for no reason?
Delfino pier is my favorite battle stage from all of Mario kart, but it whould be very hard to implement correctly because they changed how water works in Mario kart 7
