In german we also say shortcut and the names of the games are the same too.. "vs." Is also well known in german language use.. I could have written "Abkürzung" which means the sam like shortcut, but that sounds.. meh.. :D

If I prefer the ps3 because of nostalgia does that make it infinitely better, in quality, compared to the ps5?
Mario Kart Wii had some parts of the course set up to act as 'shortcuts' and provide a faster route, similar to Mario Kart 8; however, it also allowed the player to be intuitive with their movement and abuse the game's physics to find new ways to jump the gap to victory. Mario Kart 8 has decorative track extensions that act as faster routes during the race... You decide, but I'll just say that when I played Mario Kart 8 I couldn't stop getting fucked over by bots because I front run all the time lol. At least MKWii let me do that to an extent. I can't be bothered to sit in third for good items on a last lap. That ain't a race, it's not worth my brakes.
Man, you missed the opportunity to show such great cuts, such as: - Dry Dry Desert lake cut - Rainbow Road (kart strat) - Mushroom Gorge Ultra Cut - Mario Circut tree clip etc.
I have a challenge for someone name one shortcut that saves 5+ seconds in 150cc in mk8. For mkwii if you don't count the ultras that skip a whole lap there is still plenty of them
Einer der Gründe, warum ich MKW Monate lang gesuchtet habe und auf MK8 nach einigen Wochen keine Lust mehr hatte. Der "Spielkind"-Effekt íst einfach viel größer bei MKW. Einfach weil man weiß, dass man so viele Möglichkeiten hat auch ungewollte SCs zu entdecken. Man ist einfach nicht so beschränkt in seinen Möglichkeiten. Volle Zustimmung ;) Udn schönes Video, die Nostalgie hat bei einigen SCs richtig zugeschlagen. Allein wie lange ich den Gapjump bei Pilz-Schlucht geübt habe... ewig. Und es war geil :D
Nintendo screwed up Mario kart 8 deluxe so badly. For starters, they literally copied mk8, added a few new things, and put it as a new game. They should have made the game like mkw where crazy shortcuts were possible and more people would probably play it and get the switch. Comment any others that you might have.
I'm just saying, if it was gonna be very different, then it would be Mario Kart 9. However, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an improved version of Mario Kart 8, e.g. actual battle courses, some quite nice new minigames, all characters unlocked etc. It wouldn't make any sense if they completely changed the courses and added It's also pretty bad that the only reason you would find a racing game fun is because of game breaking shortcuts. However, if they purposely added a bunch of crazy shortcuts, then that would be really fun. I also think they should've just made Mario Kart 9 instead of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe so they could make new courses with insane shortcuts.
The way to make a game with lots of good cuts is to let the player come up with them. Nintendo never expected people to make these insane shortcuts. So, for MK9, make the game glitchy
I feel like the difference between the games is very similar to Melee vs Brawl in the smash community, Mario kart Wii (the melee of Mario Kart) is a lot more technical to win and Mk8 (the brawl in this instance but it reminds me more of ultimate) is more based on fundamentals to win. BOTH require skill, just in different areas.

@@KevSB07 it was a fun glitch tho so you can't compare with sonic 06 and adds creativity. Nintendo can't just cage us hard. Mario kart tour did a great job on that
Phantom456Lp same man. All they did was copy over Mk8 which in my opinion was horrid with terrible reskins of characters, bad track choices, and the loss of bikes/physics mkw had to offer. Mk8D added battle mode (personally I don't play it but ig that's good for some people) and new reskins for characters that were already made. The lack of creativity in this game makes mkw five times better and a lot more fun to play.
Mk8 track choices are so good the graphics are soooooooo much better and there are way more characters that are in it and they did not copy it if they did mk8 would be crappy
I like both mk8 and mkwii but i have to give the best to Ctgp revolution, because unlike the original games you get custom tracks in ctgp rev and ctgp-u
Chmilk Yeah, but thats pretty much the only cool one. Shortcuts Like Grumble Volcano Rock Hop, Rainbow Road Moon jump, Bowser's Castle Glitch and DK Summit Double cut are way better in my opinion
I agree that the shortcuts from Mario kart Wii are arguably better than the ones on Mariokart8 but presenting your point like this.... You took the worst shortcuts from Mariokart8 paired them with the best of Wii put a low cc and removed the music.
In mk8 it was 150cc, the same as in the mkwii Clips. I know what you want to point out, but it wasnt my goal to make a objective video about this, its my opinion and i wanted to underline it with some editing.
Mkwii is a hell of a lot more competitive than any othee mario kart game, causing many pro players to love it so much. It feel lots more rewarding when getting a win in MKwii especially if you are a pro player. And yeah Mkwii is for fun for pro players such as every youtuber who does Mario Kart.
Lo que mola es que en el Mario Kart Wii los atajos son más bestiales y no están hechos para ser descubiertos , los del Mario kart 8 Deluxe son atajos muy simples y algunos acortan poco respecto al camino del circuito 😂😂

Durch diese Sc's, die lange nicht so leicht sind wie die von Mk8 hat man auch immer die gewissensfrag ob man es jetzt riskiert oder net :D und es ist einfach viel Skillbasierter als einfach nur mit nem pilz durch nen dounat zu fahren 0.o. Mach weiter so
Jo, das Risiko macht es spannend :D Bspw. Kann man auf Pilz-Schlucht mit dem Gap Jump bei nem engen Feld noch einige Plätze gut machen, wenn man ihn nicht schafft ist man dafür letzter.

Wenn ich beide Spiele mit den Shortcuts vergleiche dann ist für mich Mario Kart Wii Eindeutig besser. Allgemein haben mir die Shortcuts noch einen größeren Reiz gegeben das Spiel zu spielen. Mario Kart 8 allgemein ist natürlich ein super Spiel aber es gibt mir nicht das Feeling was ich bei MKW hatte.

Pachirisu King how if MK8 took away some of the best tracks as far as shortcuts from MKW and the ones MK8 kept, you can't even do those shortcuts from MKW.
I don't mean to offend any MKWii shortcut fans or the creator of the video themselves, but I think that patrickmegaman made MKWii win by over-editing, music, particles and by using screen effects. They left all the good shortcuts out of MK8 and put in all the usual or overused shortcuts. I'm VERY surprised that the Big Blue ultra cut wasn't used. The reason I think this wasn't used is because patrickmegaman likes MKWii better than MK8 (obviously) and used no effects or music for the MK8 shortcuts they used. Also, I have looked at this comment section and people are saying they like MKWii's shortcuts more because they are more broken and glitchy. But it doesn't make sense how a racing game is better because of glitches or broken shortcuts. I have also seen some people (not many people) don't like MK8 because of Funky Kong, Birdo, etc. But it doesn't matter about shortcuts, characters or how broken the game is. It matters mostly about how YOU like it. If you think it matters also about how much fun you have, you are ALSO right. If you don't have enough fun, sometimes you may just get a refund on it, or sell it. That's why I think a racing game is mostly about if you like it or not, but not reasons like its shortcuts or characters. Plus, today we don't want glitched or broken games and want better graphics and we don't want glitched games or broken games. MK8 requires less skill, better graphics and the game is less broken or glitched. (unless you hack it) once again, I don't mean to trigger or offend MKWii shortcut fans. Please don't hate on this comment. I show no harm.
Kreatives Videokonzept und mit der Musik, den Effekten und der Szenenlänge sehr ausdrücklich umgesetzt :D Anfangs hätte ich es cooler gefunden, wenn du vergleichbare SCs oder die SCs vergleichbarer Strecken gegenübergestellt hättest. Andererseits würde das, wenn es überhaupt geht, die Aussage verfehlen q; Ich stimme dir auf jeden Fall zu! MKW ist viel interessanter als MK8, weil die SCs bis hin zu verrückten Glitches dehnbar sind - weil sie nicht so offensichtlich von Nintendo gewollt sind und sich mit Ehrgeiz immer weiter perfektionieren lassen. Durch dieses Video hab ich auch schon wieder 4-5 gefunden, die ich vorher noch nicht kannte :D Bin so glücklich, dass ich es inzwischen wieder online fahren kann*-* Das ist echt eine Schande, wie inaktiv ich die ganze Zeit war, es gibt noch so viel zu tun, bevor es langweilig wird :D 0:41 Der SC funktioniert ja :D q;
Ist denke ich recht schwierig, da gut vergleichbare SC's zu finden...aber wäre schon coolee gewesen, mit einer Art Gliederung, das kann sein :D Ahh, du hast es dir auch mal wieder gegönnt, sehr schön! =)
+patrickmegaman In MK8 übernommene Strecken zu vergleichen, würde noch gehen, könnte wohl aber kein spannendes Video füllen. Und SCs zu finden, die sich unscheinbar ähnlich sind, ist schwierig, da hast du wohl Recht - sorry :D Dann springe ich auf Lukas' Idee auf, andere Aspekte der Spiele zu vergleichen ;) Auf jeden Fall! Vielleicht trifft man sich ja mal online :)

Itemverteilung auch... Oder eine MKW Strecke nehmen die in MK8 geremaked wurde und diese Vergleichen, da die MKW Remakes in MK8 ja auch ziemlich lame sind ^^ Wenn man nur den Titel "Mario Kart Wii vs. Mario Kart 8" nimmt, lässt sich bestimmt noch das ein oder andere coole Video basteln :)
This is the same as comparing melee to smash 4. Yeah smash 4 is more refined and polished but melee has a much quicker pase due to the engine being easy to exploit and glitchs being present anf because of that meele is more fun to watch at a competitive level

Ja OK, wo die Abkürzungen spannender sind muss man wohl nicht sagen, ich denke jeder weiß das sie in MKWii viel interessanter waren! Aber MK8 ist trotzdem alles in allem viel besser! Immerhin kamen 90% der MKWii Abkürzungen durch Bugs zustande und das jede Minute ein Stachi oder ein Blitz kommt nervt einfach nur und hat bei mir und bei vielen anderen auch, einfach den Spielspaß verdorben! MK8 ist das beste MK, weil es "fair" ist, ein gutes Fahrgefühl und eine tolle Grafik und wenige Bugs hat!
It's true that MKW has some great and crazy shortcuts, which where fun even for me, but it feels like you're underestimating MK8/MK8D by putting some "minecraft intro" like I've seen in the comments and doing nothing with MK8. MK8 has some great shortcuts in 200cc and also make it fun.
I Know they fixed mario kart out of its exploits, but with this video It shows you hate that they're patching the game or specifically mk8. The only thing that's kinda broken in mk8 is dat you can do a better shortcut than what you did on big blue, but isn't that a good thing.

Ja ich liebe mario kart 8 aber ich liebe mario kart wii total ich habe mario kart 8 und es macht spass online zu spieelen in mario kart wii hat es spass gemacht online zu spielen leider wurden die online server blockiert und mann kann nur noch mit freunden spielen aber die mario kart 8 shirtcuts waren einbisschen langweilig aber mario kart wii shortcuts waren die besten mario kart 8 shortcuts: o bitte ein pilz, bitte stern,ich schaffs maaan. You showed mk8 from your point of wiew but you can do mega shortcuts at mk8 too. You showed the popular shortcuts not the cool shortcuts. Then why did you make this video?
tabletgaming pro tabletgaming pro no there not. The BC ultra, GV rock hop, BC3 ultra, MG gap jump and many more.The hardest shortcuts in mk8 are at the level of DS double and DKS double. Also If you count 200cc shortcuts its like having CTGP tracks.
mario kart 8 would be better if it had the same physics as mkw and if they got rid of the koopalings with 4 bower enemies and 4 hot female human characters.
