Did you notice how the 2 Mario and Luigi games Nintendo remade were the ones that have Fawful as a major character? It's like they're trying to introduce him to new Nintendo fans. Maybe he'll have a big role in a future game.
It's a bit of an arrangement from the Cackletta Battle. It's not actually half-bad. This and the Dark Star Battle are both one-of-a-kind themes... Which makes this game outstanding!
But many things have unfortunately been removed or changed.the final battle against dark bowser/dark star & fawful had changed alot in many bad ways. The atmosphere isnt as intense as it was in its og version.
@@Gazing-09 not exactly. Most of it is fawful's theme, which is the theme that plays when something was happening in superstar saga. Specifically, it also plays after you beat fawful and then he and prince peasley do a back and forth thing
@@Gazing-09 The theme played for Fawful's boss fight in the Japanese version of Superstar Saga. This is why the remake has it as his battle theme. For some reason the International games switch this to Popple's theme. You can google this if you don't believe me.
1:49:15 I really like that they showed us Dark Bowser after the boss battle against the Dark Star in the remake. Because in the original Bowser's Inside Story game, they showed us Dark Bowser before the boss battle against the Dark Star.
This game was amazing. Simply amazing. The made Dark Bowser look awsome, they remade the final boss theme perfectly, and the giant bosses were insane. I also like how they made a new theme for the dark star battle!
Everyone is talking about the New battle themes for Fawful and the Dark Star... No one even mentions how Bowser has a Overkill Finisher move in ths Giant Battle now.
I love how bowser just rubs his stomach every time the bros are fighting inside of him, like "Oh wait, let's pause the fight for a second while these dudes in my gut duke it out."
I assume the dark bowser fight, dark bowser is dizzy or very weak while fawful is not inside dark bowser, since fawful is the controller essentially, for the others, I have no idea
@@Shock108 magic window sucks now. It used to be sastiying because of the infinite jumps and dmg you can make but now they nerfed it and made it to 1200 something dmg.
Snack basket seems slower and Falling Star seems to last longer and take longer to switch colour. I prefer the original, fast paced attacks. They keep you more focused and on your toes, whereas these ones are slow and practically take no effort at all.
Zekromtrainer12 not only that - look at the two above it. The one on the diagonal right is clearly elder Princess Shroob and the one on the diagonal left is Princess Shroob, you can tell by the angry face and slightly taller figure. I’ve only just now realised that Bowser cryogenically froze every Shroob including the 2 princesses, so either Partners in Time Remake next or the next original instalment will be a follow up to the Shroob and they return :)
@@SkinnyRat pretty sure is just part of the cameo, those two were there on the original game too. Plus they are supossed to be both dead by the end of partners in time.. we will see lol
Omg Bowser uses a whistle during bomb omb blitz that is actually amazing. I can see he effort they put into the visuals and animation of this game, even if I don’t agree with all the choices.
In case anyone never realized, Young Princess Shroob wasn't in the original game, but it got added on the remake so it COULD probably mean that there will be a PiT remake. You are welcome.
In case anyone never realized, the Shroobs are part of Bowser Jr's Journey and Princess Shroob is involved, so it means that she's here only because of that. You are all welcome :)
Also, in case anyone never realized, Partners in Time sold like shit compared to Bowser's inside Story, which explains why AlphaDream decided to do the right choice and to remake this one instead of PiT. You are welcome.
In case anyone ever realized, BiS had WAY more sprites than PiT as they've already made a ton of Fawful sprites and enemy sprites. The Shroobs weren't involved because of Bowser Jr's Journey, Bowser had already encased them in ice along with the Princess Shroobs, you fight them in the original game too. They probably escaped because Bowser's minions can't do anything right. If you also haven't realized, PiT will be only Mario & Luigi game that doesn't have 3D sprites if AlphaDream doesn't remake it. As a video game company, money is important, but so are the fans. Just because one game in the whole series didn't sell AS GREAT as another one doesn't mean it won't get remade. I mean, take a look at New Super Mario Bros. U. That game sold significantly fewer copies than Super Mario Bros. Wii, yet it STILL got a remake. I won't disagree that BiS sold more than PiT, that's a fact, but PiT is a part of the original trilogy of the M&L games. I doubt there's a chance PiT will not get a remake because, if you haven't realized, they made designs for the Princess Shroobs during the Shroobs battle (unless it's just reused art, then :/)
Wow they actually managed to really up the menace factor on Dark Fawful this time. The music and darker environment really change the mood. And Dark Star benefits so much from the new music, too! Color me surprised they kept the Shroobs in the game at all, I had a feeling they'd be cut since Partners in Time wasn't remade. But there they are, and the Shroobs cameoing in the background are still there too.
For the people who say the original was harder, no, It wasn't The original had a couple of really easy Bosses but sometimes a hard enemy would pop out of nowhere In the remake, they buffed the enemies that were too easy, while nerfing those that were too hard for their point in the game. Durmite's tongue attack, for example, is much harder to Dodge in the remake
Do the bros say "Mario" "Luigi" when they begin a boss battle in every version or only in the Japan version, because i think its better when they said "Letsa go" "okie dokie"
@@SB2749 which while im disappointed thats how it is i can appreciate that that phrase has more impact if you're facing a tough opponent vs facing a throw away enemy
What? You really want an overpowered item with it you can kill any boss in one go? Thanks but I'd pass this offer. Yay for the nerf of this attack! And let's play for real! :D
Thing is, it took quite some practice to make it infinite. Or to chain it up for a while at the very least. That´s all I could ever manage, and I felt rally good at that.Cheers to those who could truly keep this up forever. Those Dudes spawn fast once your past Excellent. The rest of the game isnt demanding a lot of mechanical skill, so i liked it that there was at least one thing that felt rewarding to use if you put the effort into it.
While The Grand Finale is probably my favorite piece of music in all of gaming history, I wish they would have done a little more with it in this remake. Sure, it still sounds incredible, but it's far too similar to the original. They should have done a full orchestral remake of it or something to really make it pop. Still love it though!
the original didn't need to change i think adding what you suggested would not have worked....but if you're talking about the dark bowser theme i thought it was called "in the final"
@@metalmario1231 I thought it was called that too, but according to Smash Ultimate, it's called The Grand Finale, so I'm just taking Nintendo's word for it
If someone says spoiler they are getting a smack because this game has been out for a long time Edit:in the shroobs boss battle it looks like the older princess shroob is freaking there frozen!!!!! Edit edit:holy crap dark fawful has a theme and it's kinda disturbing
1. The older princess was already there in the original game, the new thing is that the regular princess is ALSO there 2. Is a remix of Cackletta's music, is great
@Chillin' Yet there were people that didn't have DS's or knowledge of the original game but then again you probably support profasia doing the same spoiler thumbnails on newer games as well.
I have a theory that it was skipped because BiS NEEDS the Ds's touchscreen to play (Bowser's special attacks and the giant battles), whereas PiT could play without it. Since Nintendo is gonna start focusing much more on the switch rather than the ancient Ds line, it makes sense that Alphadream remaster the game that heavily relies on the touchscreen while the 3Ds still has time left before support is pulled. Hopefully, PiT will be remastered for the switch.
That's not what I meant. There's the Junior Shrooboid and Elder Princess Shroob frozen in the background of the fight. That's why I said that they might be hinting at a PiT remake.
@@avimidi no because those are in the background of the original game....but come to think of it how is that? princess shroob was turned into a mushroom then eaten by bowser.......future bowser and its been confirmed that BIS's Mario and Luigi are PIT's baby Mario and Luigi so if future bowser ate the shroob princess shroom how the heck did past bowser find and freeze her?
....Woah this game really got a re design the last time I saw it. Good job Nintendo. Also omg I swear they really went all out the the final boss that was good.
It's to bad AlphaDream went bankrupt, it make you wonder if they lasted a little longer would it have been possible to remake partners in time and if so, what side quest could they come up with like bowser's minions and bowser jr's journey?
1:28:19 at this moment, not only will you see the first monster you fight in partners in time, but there is also the elder sister Princess Shroob .. (as far as I know, this detail is not seen in the original version of DS), if the sister appeared Minor, it means that the effort of mario, luigi and their baby versions was in vain, and that very likely in the future, the Shroobs with the princesses, that even in this remake it is seen, there are Shroobs loose in the corners of Bowser's castle , which would mean a very possible Mushroom War well, oh unless alfadream had even had a budget for it... RIP (GBA-3DS) even misses them and more for those details that they put in both remakes..
Although this game feels a bit... clunky, those giant battles are WAY, WAAAAY better then the original. It really makes Bowser the scariest, giant monster that everyone will fear with the post battle cutscenes. That, and they give Dark Star and Dark Fawful a different music.
I loved the original and the remake is even better. But I like the dream team Giant Battles more. If the camera angles and some animations didn’t suck. I might like this more
@@elvinthegengar6083 I Would Love Fawful In Super Smash Ultimate, Maybe His Final Smash Could Be Making Dark Star Ram Into The Opponent And Then Become Dark Fawful For A Final Blow, That Would Be Sick!
