@@tammytheranger7645 They went bankrupt because they kept making games for the 3DS, and not for the modern consoles like the Switch. If you don't know, by the time they made the Paper Mario game, the 3DS was basically dying off. As soon as Bowser Inside Story remake was made, it was completely dead.
How about a moment of silence for those who couldn't beat the original Bowser's Inside Story because of the Fawful Express and because their mic don't work properly?
@@samyb4566 even when it does work, it gave me a headache on several occasions being that you need to get a decent rating on the attack most of the time to beat it.
I have a story about the blowing into the mic for the fire breath with the Fawful Express: I got it down to 1 HIT LEFT and it crossed the bridge and had to do the fight all over again. People I know in real life have heard me be loud before, no, when I was a kid, you can imagine I had a lot less self control over things like that, I screamed so loudly my mother came running thinking I burned myself. And also no joke, that boss is why I have somewhat of a disdain for trains even today
Honestly, the 3DS version makes these giant fights SO much more awesome and cinematic. The new graphics, the different camera angles, and the cutscenes really go a LONG way toward making Bowser a more intimidating, Godzilla-level threatening presence. I love these giant fights so much.
Strongly disagree. Maybe slightly better in terms of the actual battle (although the 2D style looks infinitely better) but the cutscenes themselves are god tier in comparison.
Agreed. The best thing though is not having to blow into the mic to breathe fire. I admire the creativity in making the fight feel more interactive, but it’s not worth making myself dizzy and nauseous over.
@@flargarbason1740 I think that the castle cut scene needs re-done for the 3DS version, you just don’t get the same feel of the original, and the charm of Bowser’s castle in the 3DS version just isn’t there unlike the to the 2D counterpart
@@flargarbason1740yea and some inconsistencies in story line like when Bowser destroys part of Project K with the Fawful Express but the metal bridge is somehow still THERE AFTERWARDS!
I had no idea people hated the blow mechanic for this game. I get why if the mic isnt working, and that's what the original required. But for me I liked it, because if how interactive it felt.
@@hello-mv6ygi don't know how they did it, but i guess they have the ds a bit far from the hair dryer. using it a few times in short timings won't melt it, but be careful
I think for the most part, the remake giant battle experience is so much better. The best part was seeing Bowser absolutely trash the Fawful Express (it's a shame the Monty Moles survived in this version, I liked seeing them get crushed by debris in the original). However, the rest of the game is better in the original DS version (especially the Mario & Luigi parts). Nerfing the Magic Window was the worst thing the remake did. That said, I had a blast playing both versions.
The first tutorial, kind of ruins, the 3DS version, I loved how in the original you were allowed to skip the tutorial like you’ve played the game before, and know what to do. But in the 3DS for every play through you do it’s pretty much forced at this point. also, I’m not really that big of a fan of the castles redesign, it kind of takes the charm away from it. And the first cut scene also doesn’t feel like the original. In all honesty the only thing good is not having to blow into the Mic But for an honest opinion, nothing beats the charm of the original
These never get old. Alpha Dream made the best RPGs of all time and Nintendo is out of their minds if they think they'll ever top this. Letting the GOAT go bankrupt just so they can have paper mario fight random objects is so stupid. I hope Alpha Dream comes back somehow because I know they can make amazing RPGs without Mario characters if they really wanted to. Just look at the orginal characters they made. So many of them have so much charm to them.
@@flargarbason1740 I meant to do it properly. From my experience, I always had to get an excellent rating on the attack the majority of my turns in order to win, otherwise I didn’t inflict enough damage before I got to the bridge.
As much as I like the remake, something about the punches, fire and counter attacks in these fights don’t feel as impactful or satisfying as the original. I’m not sure why though.
