Not sure how many people would be aware of it, but Mammoshka seems to be based on Russian Matryoshka dolls, sets of dolls nestled one inside another inside another. That’s why it breaks down “layer by layer” at the end of the fight
Had Luigi not sneezed, maybe they would've gotten to Bowser and Antasma and stopped them before they finished setting up the Dreambeats' speakers. But then again, had Bowser and Antasma been stopped at Mt. Pajamaja, we wouldn't have gotten to explore Somnom Woods and the game length would've been cut in half. On the other hand, we wouldn't have had to do the Utilibed quest, which could get kind of tedious at times. So it's hard to say if Luigi's sneezing made the game better or not.
this is one of those bosses that literally has no purpose to exist, it literally didn't have any backstory nor does it affect the story he’s just kinda there
I'm actually happy Luigi sneezed, because if he didn't, a fun boss battle wouldn't have started, and we wouldn't have laughed! I've only played the third installment (Bowser’s Inside Story), but I could try the later installments as well to see how it feels.
@@jacobvanantwerp2001 Very true. This reminds me of Animaniacs when Skippy Squirrel asks his aunt Slappy Squirrel why she doesn't get more walnuts at the store instead of battling Doug the Dog who guards the walnut tree, she replied that nobody wants to watch her stand in a supermarket checkout line for six minutes.
and this boss literally didn't have a purpose to exist, it didn't steal anything, it didn't have an impact on the story and gameplay it's just there at least some of the bosses have a reason to exist like grobot malfunctioned because it got hit in the head and the torkscrew because it stole something and was putting the workers in danger but this boss just didn't do anything, he's just there
This boss almost one-shot me with his giant rock attack in Hard Mode. What good that I prepared myself with full HP and BP and 4 badges before fighting with him.
I'm 3 years late, but correct. Without Guard Shell, Mammoshka and Mammoshka X is a very difficult boss. If you want a challenge, don't use Guard Shell Mechanics.
Mammoshka is a tough boss, but has a weak spot on the top of his head. Each attack on his head will always be a critical hit. I recommend using Bye-Bye Cannon to get some extra damage. Although, every now and then, extra enemies will appear to give Mammoshka head armor. What I recommend is using Fire Flower to make some minor damage on Mammoshka, but the attack will kill off the extra enemies holding the armor. Once Mammoshka reaches his final phase, keep stomping onto his head until his final shell breaks, then stomp on him one more time, and Mammoshka will be defeated.
I actually like the Massif Bros. depiction here. Sure, they could easily take on Mammoshka, but if they wake it up, they risk the safety of the Mario Bros.
How did so many people have trouble with this boss? I beat it on my first try and I hate this game lol. Getting TO Mamoshoka was more tiring and harder than beating him.
