The reason there is no poison in Mushroom Kingdom is for lore. Everyone native to there (including Bowser) is not used to poison but everyone else where it is common had developed a resistance.

Smant has a “small” family gathering of 20-30 people and my fam has a huge family gathering and it’s like 15 people including my dad’s two best friends and his best friend’s wife and their parents and I have 5 siblings so my immediate fam alone is 8 people and my brother brought his girlfriend so basically we had a family gathering except none of us are actually related. Nice.

I hate having to explain this to people: your phone is not literally listening to you. It's actually far scarier than that. The reality is that *they don't even NEED to listen to your conversations to be creepily accurate!* you're Think about how much more terrifying that is: they can predict the right products to advertise at you with such _startling accuracy_ that millions of people are 100% convinced they're being spied on (despite that being borderline impossible at current. Far, far too much data to process daily. I mean it's likely not even the NSA has the processing power to have a program listen to all our communications when we ARE on the phone... and that's completely ignoring all the conversations that happen in the same room as your phone, and how difficult and costly it would be if they needed to *store* that data for any significant length of time. I'm sure they're trying though lol). The truth is that they don't need to listen to you... they wouldn't gain very much from that. In a lot of ways, they "know" who we are better than we do ourselves; there are instances of an AI "knowing (but not really) that a woman was pregnant _before she realized it herself_ based solely on the data they have on her (and people like her) and her recent searches. Luckily, the human form cannot be reduced down to the things they consume, meaning they don't truly "know" us better than ourselves.. only from a advertising perspective. That's still pretty scary though.

Regarding the “algorithm isn’t all knowing” talk - while Lowest Percent doesn’t brand itself as a Smallant channel in the titles or tags, the first video on the channel was literally about min caps. Even within the greater community of speedrunning fans, I feel like people who are into Odyssey speed runs are more likely to be Smallant fans than average, and ESPECIALLY people who are into min caps.

34:25 Ofc the algorithm will pick up on that. Here is how: First of all. Channels or Videos are connected by the fact that they have huge interesection of viewers (they share lots of viewers/many viewers watch both videos). In your case: A big part of Smallant community watches also your other channel (not everyone but lots of them). Its enough that many people also watch the other channel, that the algorithm recommends the channel to viewers who only watch your main channel (because lots of smallant fans watch the other channel too). Thats not even a secret: RU-vid even says sometimes sth like: XY viewers also watch videos of channel ABC. In your case, you even said: you promoted it sometimes in your stream. That also leads to more views. And if you put the word "smallant" in your title you also increase the probability to recommend it to new viewers. And not to forget you tagged the game super mario odyssey and speedrun. People who watch lots of videos of speedrun also might get a recommend from it.

around 34:00 ish, he’s talking about the other channel and how it does so well. of course, it can do well without Ant’s influence, but i LITERALLY get suggested videos in my feed with a black banner that says “______’s viewers also watch this channel.” and i guarantee that’s what it’s doing to get more viewers. Edit: someone in chat brought it up after i wrote this comment lol. but still, that’s more than likely the majority of viewers.

I have a friend that shares tiktok links of Destiny 2 videos, I click on those and it opens the web version of tiktok. When the video is over it autoplays a small selection from the platform. Explain to me how watching purely destiny 2 tiktoks translates to self harm, mental health, thirst traps and gore.

also to add, videos are very different to streams, theyre generally at least 3 to 4 hours long, it's like 10 seconds at most generally, how are you supposed to find all of those in god knows how many streams.. its hardly disparaging and i think smant was more talking ab videos than unedited vods....
