I can’t believe this just popped up in my recommended after all these years. Adolfo, I want to say thank you. Before I watched this video back 15 years ago, I wasn’t a Zelda fan. I was just a trumpet player in middle school who was fascinated by Mario Paint and loved game music. This video introduced me to Zelda and got me into the games, which would end up being much of the reason (along with Star Wars) I chose to pursue a career in film and game music. This year, I got my MFA in media scoring and own my own music business. I am currently working on a game soundtrack and an audio drama soundtrack, and I’m having so much fun with all the projects I’m working on. Thanks for planting the seed and starting me on this path.
You have a talent that most people doing this sort of thing lack. You really tune every beat correctly, and carefully choose the correct sound to go with it. Bravo.
The orginal tune, written with 3 Sine waves and an 8-bit program is so epic. This is a well done remake. I've written some video game pieces---you can hear them at my channel---but this...this just sticks in the brain.
@09Oblivion Before this program was made, there existed the program ''Mario Paint'' on the SNES which featured drawing, animating and composing software and a mouse(!) for people without computers. The program used here is called Mario Paint Composer, and isn't as limited as the original, plus being able for download on the computer. People often abbreviate the program as Mario Paint.
i just luv this vid you put together to game's that were my fav growing up! mario paint was the first game I played and Zelda is still my no.1 game even tho I don't own a system were i can play zelda or link. keep on makin these vid's!! AWSOME!
I think the reason composing nintendo game themes with this works so well is because I bet a lot of these tones are used to build the marvelous classic themes.
I' can't wait to wake up every morning to this... but for some reason I can't. The sun rising above the horizon, the rustling of leaves in the wind, a heroic melody ringing in my ears as I slowly awaken...
The guitar in the background, imo, is what makes this song so epic. Impossible not to love it! Too bad the wii music version doesn't have those guitar notes
it's actually IS in a sense, it's the "Mario Paint Composer Emulator" software so you can compose music on your computer in case you do not own OR never have owned the actual game & a Super Nintendo...
Oh my god. I used to play Mario Paint all the effing time when I still had my Super. :-( I miss it soo much. This part was definitely my favorite out of the entire game.
