A few years ago, I would watch this channel 'cause I found their content entertaining and I finally found it once again by accident. I am filled with pure joy.
"YOU WIN 10 THOUSAND MINI STARS! Think you can handle it, Mario?" "Yeah, man! :D" "Well, here you go!" *Anticipation before Bowser gives Mario a single Mini Star.* "Hey! D:" "Beats nothing. :3"
*Hi guys!! I want to share something with you and hear your opinions about it.* When I was younger, me and my siblings played a lot of *mario party 2.* That is in my opinion the best mario party game I have ever played, even tho I haven't played them all, I just miss how it was back then. I remember we had round options so we sometimes took the 35 round option and played for like 3 hours on the same stage. It was a lot of fun because we got soo into it and all of the characters had different weapons/items to use against eachother. Now today on mario party 9 and 10, all you can get is different dices and competing about small stars and we all are stuck in the same car, and the stage is just from start to end that's finished so fast in like 20 minutes! It all ends when it's finally getting fun. It was a lot funnier when we were all spread around the map, trying to get the big star, and won coins in minigame we could use in the store to buy items, and compete for hours! I miss old mario party times so much!! Is it just me?
+Tilynelly Bro, you are not alone. Imo, they've literally done the worst possible thing to Mario Party, since Hudson Soft disbanded. Mario Party has been dumbed down to the point where there is no strategic value whatsoever. In the old, the randomness happened, well randomly! You could be prepared for things, as well as be thrown off guard. Everyone was their own individual, mainly being the verdict of their own decisions. There was also a lot more interactions, like the spaces, the events, the items and mini-games. Alot was taken away. MP 9&10, it's random all the time. You have no control over your fate, and hardly anything happens because each person gets only like what, 6 turns each? It's bad, I could go on all day. At least the mini-games are still pretty legit. Each Mario Party (1-8) had their own unique concept. They made 9, (which imo, was terrible) which was also different, unique, and that's actually pretty cool. It was too diferent though. It abandoned the tradition. It also didn'thave that replay value to it like the others. Not at all! That's a CRUCIAL part of MP. It died within a few months because of that. (for me anyway) Then they go and make an identically, but not quite better, WORSE version in 10. MAJORLY disappointed. Until I see some effort, i'm done with Mario Party. I'll stay with 1-8. Sorry for this rant, it looks too long.
Me: I have some good news, Toad! We are going to Mushroom Park for your birthday! Toad: Yes! Can Toadette come too? Me: Of course! Toad: Toadette! We are going to Mushroom Park for my birthday! Toadette: Yay! Meanwhile... Me: Whoa! These are the bounciest mushrooms ever! Toad: Yay! Wahoo! Toadette: Wheeeeeeeee!
Although Smashin' Sundays was great, two weeks of WRTP withdrawal was worth it for this LP. My personal opinion is that you guys shine the most in Mario games, and especially in Mario Party games and this was no exception. Loved your MP9, MP4, MP1, and MP Island Tour LP's and expecting lots for this one too.
Mario Party 9 was the first series I watched that made me fall in love with you guys and your videos so watching the Mario Party 10 videos makes me super happy. :)
I always hope for Spencer to win everything due to his personality being my favorite of the 4 .. Sadly while Spencer has the most entertaining personality (IMO ) he also happens to be the worst at whatever they play consistently
We just found your channel! Thank you so much for keeping the language clean. The toddler now has safe game play to watch. No more explaining why he can't say the same things he hears on Twitch. And thanks to this video it looks like we have to get a Wii U. So thanks for that too, I guess.
This is so nostalgic. You guys are my favorite in this channel. It is my absolute favorite as well. You guys make the best Nintendo gameplay videos. I love this series
+cristian c Nice dude! As soon as I get my job, and some money, I'll buy a WiiU, and this game, along with Mk8, SSB4WiiU, Wind Waker HD, and Nintendo Land.
I'm so conflicted. I hate the car format (and I hated it in Mario Party 9 too...well actually I hated all of Mario Party 9 haha), but I played the regular Party Mode today with 3 friends and had a blast. The boards are still dumb, but the mini-games are really fun this time around! That doesn't affect the quality of the LP thankfully because I absolutely loved watching WRTP playing MP9. =P Can't wait for the rest of the playthrough!
What! Tyler whatever happened to, "ever since I was kid when playing Mario party, I was always Yoshi so I'm going to be Yoshi." I hope Tyler will be Yoshi for the other boards.
Excited to see this. I love love loved Mario Party 7. I haven't been watching this Channel much as of late, but I'll definitely catch all the Mario Party 10 stuff.
Even though I love Mario Party 10 since I just got it and played it. I just want to know why did they change from the old format to this kinda gameplay with luck being the biggest factor instead of your own wits.
***** Nintendo is also a believer of following laws. The old board format doesn't belong to Nintendo. It belonged to Hudson... and Hudson got bought by Konami. So unless Nintendo gets together with Konami, the old boards are not returning.
I can see the good side of the kart style, means that people who aren't as good at the game (Spence) can win, when that really wouldn't happen in the classic style (I won 3/4 times since I'd played it most out of my friends) but it is just good sense to have had both styles in one game. As it stands all 3 modes of 10 are different and simple and fast which is good if your friends don't have it themselves and you're using drinking rules, no one mode is as good as a classic board but having 3 faster simpler modes is better, and if you have mario party 3 and 4 you'd only really play 1 if people were over whereas if you have 3 and 10 you could have a totally different experience
Awe yeahyuh WRTP MP10. TWO Super Star's?!!?? *deep exhale* why.... As much as I hate everything about 9, Island Tour and 10, (with the exception of minigames) challenges are a nice addition.
ViewtifulBeau With the way the system works? I'll take "people can actually tie for first" over "let's just roll a dice at the last moment and leave it up to luck".Which I think has been the case in every other Mario party game?
No. In 1-8/DS you were the super star starting with: 1. if you had the most stars 2. If you were tied for stars it was whoever had the most coins. 3. If you were tied in stars AND coins THEN you would roll. But the chances of being tied in both stars and coins? That's more up to luck than rolling to see who wins. And even then I'd rather roll for a super star than tie it. You don't win if you tie. Its like Soccer. Are you ever satisfied after a tie game? No.
Having a tie makes me happy. It doesn't feel cheap or stupid. It's cheesy and happy like it should be. Mario Party isn't soccer (or, as we non-Americans call it, football). MP is a group of families and friends having a good time and being silly. Having both player be the superstar gives me a warm feeling. Mario Party is your friend, not your life.
It looks good, but man I was disappointed when I found out they were going back to vehicle based gameplay :( I have this game but I usually just stick to the gamecube ones.
Had it not been for the tiebreaker, this would have been 78 percent more awesome. An additional 22 percent more if the player 1 was Toadette, but you still need party points to unlock. A shame I can't move in to your location and play with you playing as Toadette, to whom is to be unlocked. I can't believe there is a tie before the bonus stars and after!
This game's probably providing me with a freaking cool-looking storyline. Even in the first board. Basically the line is that there's an auburn armadillo named Coltrane who's looking up at the sky but then dark clouds fill the sky but in the end, Coltrane saves the day.
The best Mario Party is super Mario party and then Mario party 10 but all four is better than 1, 2, and 3 players play is amusing and amazing thing I every saw on a cool night
this is a great game. EXCEPT, it takes forever to buy all the UNLOCKABLES via Party Points, I play for 15 to 30 minutes, waiting on 3 Computer Players at that, and I usually get about 90 Party Points. SLOW PROCESS!
Sad to know what became of you guys. I was always excited to see your new Mario party playthroughs being one of the few that did 4 player videos. I was also jealous.
Remember back in the day when you didn't all move at the same time and the board didn't have an end? Back in the good ol' days. RIP Mario Party (1998-2008)
The purpose is still there. You play to win by getting ministars while making sure your competitors don't by dicking them over with strategy, good performance in minigames, and a little luck. It's just done differently probably because the old format was getting stale so the developers wanted to switch things up.
some of the classics were better. the first Mario Party i played was the second one. the graphics were not perfect but what i did like is that the character would dress up depending on the stage
its basicallyan updated version of mario party 9 and i thought nintendo said they were going to get rid of those carts and go back to the old style were everybody would just walk around.
Here is something you didn't know. When you reach homescretch without unlocking bowser, bowser Jr. will put a lot of Bowser Jr. Spaces on the board. That happened to us. Also the first time we played Mario Party Mushroom Park, We never landed on a Bowser Jr. space.
