That's right, folks. This is Western Land from Mario Party 2, everybody's favorite game! Back when the Mario Party franchise was good (or at least, not terrible...)
ANYWAY, gosh I've always adored the little costumes that each character wears in Mario Party 2 based on the map you play in, so I decided to dress up my Otamatones with cute cowboy hats and give it a go!
This music in Western Land was always so memorable to me. It felt good to play the main melody on the violin, though I honestly didn't realize that other instruments (trumpet, clarinet, flute... all replaced by Otamatones here) had these call and response gestures that dove-tailed into one another. It was so fascinating, and I tried to utilize my video editing to demonstrate that interplay visually :')
Oh yeah, I bought two new Otamatone Deluxes. They're not as superior as Tyrone (since fun fact -- each Deluxe varies in their set ranges, wowie!), but they have proved themselves to be useful. The white Otamatone Deluxe wearing the red hat is named "Barry" because he's sort of in the baritone range compared to Tyrone. And the black Otamatone Deluxe wearing the brown hat is "Fartony" because his low range sounds really... farty. I'll probably show it off here someday.
