According to Identifying Luck, the stage in O-Zone always spins 360º, so you don't really have to worry too much about the positions of the Xs and Os, since they don't really change.
Favorites: Rocky Road, Granite Getaway, Dust till Dawn, Mowtown, Control Shtick, Hyper Snyper, Verbal Assault, Lift Leapers, Conveyor Bolt, Circuit Maximus, T minus Five and Insectiride
Amazing minigame ranking! Mario Party 6 is easily my favorite game in the series, and you definitely did it justice here with your rankings. Especially with you having my favorite minigame in the entire series as #1! (Won't spoil it though for those who haven't yet watched this video).
Same is Lame is vastly better vs human players, but you are absolutely right that it and similar games are pure luck vs CPUs. Also, Slim, have you ever completed Endurance Alley (with all minigames)?
Awesome list you have there I always knew lift leapers would be the best mini game in Mario party 6 I sure wish they would add this mini game and memory lane to superstars those were awesome mini games
Minigames in The Top 100: Crate & Peril Dizzy Rotisserie Slot Trot Strawberry Shortfuse Minigames in Superstars: Burnstile Cashapult Dark 'n Crispy Mass Meteor Money Belt (Renamed X-Ray Payday) Pit Boss What Goes Up... Minigames in Both: Block Star Catch You Letter Rocky Road Snow Whirled Trap Ease Artist
MP6 was the second MP game I ever played (first being 7) and while I still deinitely enjoy it, viewing this list it's honestly quite surprising how underutilized the day/night system was used in minigames as I never realized only 3 changed things up depending on time of day. I get that not every game needs to have that feature but certainly more than 3 would've been better, ideally at least 10 I'd say. My guess is they compensated for this by having some games only being playable depending on the time of day but still though.
13:59 Even though this game is rumble based, you can still win if you have rumble on and have a controller that can’t rumble, like the Wavebird. The trees in the background stare at where the gemstone lies, so drawing a line from their eyes in the direction they’re looking and finding where they all intersect will give you the exact location of the gemstone. The trees weren’t really needed, but they are a cool addition and can help you if you know what they mean.
Pitifall might be my vote for WORST Minigame of all time, or if not it's really close. It's bad enough that it's a luck-based game used for something as important as a duel for usually high stakes, but the fact that it's, yet again, pick one of 3 ropes, right after Mario Party 5.
Agreed. Frankly the only reason I even rank Pitfall a tiny bit above Get a Rope is that it at least has a slightly more creative title... Aside from that it's just as awful!
I didn't realize SlimKirby still made videos! When I was in middle school I freaking loved your Pikmin playthrough! You think you'll play through 4 when it comes out next week?
Crate and Peril, it is pretty much guaranteed for the solo player to win if they use the dividers to trap the other 3 players because they can make the 2 spinies approach the other players from both sides. In the hands of a human player, the other 3 players will almost always die because they get trapped. Surge and Destroy. You can always pretty much win as the team if you are playing against the computer seeker and go in a circle because they will always go after you. But against a competent human opponent? Doing so is pretty much suicide. They will see what you are trying to do and they will lead you with the Orb and cause you to land on it because they know where you are going and they will intercept you.
While I disagree with snow whirled because it’s one of my favorites, I do understand why you dislike it. Also talkie walkie I feel is kinda busted for the 1, I swear if you just say forward the entire time or mash R than A on the controller it’s pretty much a free win.
Hey Slim, We briefly discussed this in some of our old chat on the minigames, but we never got to one point. You said that Mario PArty 6 has good minigames, I said that Mario Party 7 has a superior set to 6 since 6 has a terrible bottom or floor of minigames. Then you commented in 5 that Mario Party 5 has a worse bottom for minigames than 6. I want to challenge or disagree with this. I think 6 has a terrible bottom for minigames but it gets overlooked since people like 6 as a game overall. The big thing going against Mario Party 5 are the button masher minigames, but let's compare my bottoms, I won't even include mic minigames. Bottomish 18 minigames for Mario Party 5: Vicious Vending, Mathletes, Get a Rope, Mario Can-Can, Merry Poppings, Tug-o-Dorrie, Wind Wavers, Fish Sticks, Quilt for Speed, Rumble Ready, Will Flower, Triple Jump, Submarathon, Button Mashers, Random Ride, Lucky Lineup, Fight Cards, Heat Stroke Bottomish 18 minigames for Mario Party 6: Gondola Glide, Black Hole Boogie, Pitifall, Ray of Fright, Cash Flow, Pop Star, Crate and Peril, Light Breeze, Treasure Trawlers, Odd Card Out, Mass Meteor, Trick or Tree, Body Builder, Cashapult, Freeze Frame, Trap Ease Artist, Strawberry Shortfuse, Same is Lame My question to you Slim is "How does Mario Party 5 have a much worse bottom when you compare both of these lists?" And then, even if 5 has a worse bottom than 6, why I am wrong for saying that 6 has a bad bottom?" The bottom minigames for both of these games look extremely equal to me.
While I wouldn't say dunk bros is horrible, I find the chin chomps in the back more amusing than the game itself... Also MP6 is my favorate mario party
@@christopheredwards788 Haha, fair enough. I've tried to make one of these lists every month this year as a general upload guideline, but obviously in March I did the Mario Kart 8 track list and in July I did the Top 15 SNES games. Then also in summer I had the month where COVID kind of slowed me down, so it hasn't been perfect, but I've done my best, haha. Thanks for the props though, I appreciate it! :)
One thing I'd love to know, is which of the GameCube Mario Party titles would be best for a blind guy like me to play? It'd be something interesting to figure out, since I have a GameCube.
Start with 5 then play 6 then 7. 5 is much cheaper than 6 and 7 and was the first game with capsules and will allow you to get a feel for that style of game without you spending tonnes of money on 6 or 7. Then if you like 5 enough you can play 6 and 7 because they're like 5 but much more refined
Ngl a LOT of my friends love Snow Whirled but I honestly don't see the appeal in it either. All you're doing is mashing four different buttons in a row which can be annoying at times. I was never a fan of button-mashing games and Snow Whirled is definitely one of the more worst ones (only being topped by Button Mashers from 5). Yeah I know it's not button mashing in a sense and more of button pressing but let's be real, people are using the cheese strat by using their palms to mash it all at once which works. I'm not sure why it returns in Superstars
Note to self is absolutely horrible with cpus probably worse than cannonball fun or both I’m really disappointed that game is in the decathlon not lift leapers
Pitifall definitely deserves to be at the bottom of the list because it is like Get A Rope. I hate Pitifall so much and easily my worst Mario Party 6 minigame. Trick or Tree definitely deserved to be the 2nd worst minigame and it is also my 2nd worst minigame too. Besides from that Mario Party 6 is my favorite Mario Party game.
