Um... No. Because there are no Star Spaces in Snowflake Lake, everyone is given 5 stars from the beginning. Everyone just has a 7-Star handicap added on top of it.

It is the handicap. I think for 50 turns they added a couple of stars to make things more interesting.

@@KoploperMau Maurits (who plays as the Mario avatar) really should have started with *_NO_* Star handicap because of how good in which he is in Mario Party video games; the other 3 needed the 5-Star handicap - especially Rik (who plays as the Yoshi avatar)!
