30 seconds? are you sure? if you’re taking that long you must not be playing the minigame right :p even a poor performance should easily get you at least around 16 seconds, or 18 if you have the european version.

I know I'm doing it wrong, but I don't know how. I'm doing as instructed (up/down movement, hold 1 + A), but I only achieve around 24-26 seconds at best (EU version). My motion controls I bet.

you must be shaking too slowly then. you have to move your arms up and down like a madman, much faster than the in game characters themselves. small and fast is the key!

I should've guessed :p motion control is a slight issue (Breakneck Building requires minimal motion effort imo), so I wasn't sure how to approach it. Will try again this weekend, thanks!

I’m super late, but if you’re still looking for advice, pretty small fast motions are key. I remember I would move the wiimote up and down a lot in the past, and was only able to break 14.50 once I made my movements smaller

Several years ago I spent around 30 hours over a couple weeks (approximate) to get 10000, but didn’t record it. When I decided to record this, it took me around an hour to get a perfect score again.

thank you! Mario Party 9’s decathlon mode is quite different, as you don’t accumulate score, but rather time, and try to finish 10 minigames as quickly as possible. My best time is 3:54.87 which is alright I think, but no where near “optimal”.

you gotta use small fast motions, and just absolutely send it!! I always stand up when I play it, so I can really put my energy into it

Devin Willbey it’s possible you’re actually making movements that are too small. I can’t say for sure unless I actually see you play in person unfortunately. Try making bigger motions!

Zavitanker Good question! It’s really subjective to the player. Rotation Station is actually impossible unless you do some sort of “skip” (you get 36 seconds with a flawless “normal” run) and the camera controls suck butthole. A lot of people have trouble with Ion the Prize due to how subtle your movements have to be, alongside having to react well, and rng affecting scores, especially at the end. Pumper Cars is hard to get a hang of, and actually a bit physically exhausting, but if you’re fit enough and find the right rhythm, you can consistently get A+. I’d say those are the 3 hardest, with 4th probably being Settle it in Court. Every other game either has a pretty lenient threshold, or is just relatively easy to get perfect on. I can’t say which is the hardest out of the 3 above, again, it depends on the player!

Saucer Swarm and Kartastophe and Pumper Cars are the most difficult minigames to get an A+ on for me.

Late, but if you’re still having trouble, try making your movements slightly bigger. If they’re too small, I think they won’t register

when you get between 9800 and 9999, you still make it to the moon, but there’s no 10000 sign and you get superstar rank instead of supreme superstar
