Hey! If you're watching this past February 2024, Mario Royale Deluxe has been taken down, because it didn't do quite as well as Mario Royale Legacy. If you try to play at marioroyale.com now, it'll take you to Mario Royale Legacy, which we now endorse instead. Please read below. (TL;DR: Deluxe is dead, long live Legacy, play at marioroyale.com just like before) We first shortly reopened Legacy to the public and while none of the games were extremely successful, Legacy sometimes did even just a bit better than Deluxe despite not being promoted (we just had it open for those who prefered Legacy back then). On top of that, we were unmotivated and felt kinda restrained by the SMAS/SNES artstyle. Legacy can have SNES, but Deluxe can't quite have NES due to higher standards held for Deluxe. So, after a decisive poll, we made a choice Deluxe has been taking down and might be made open-source, iunno. Some of the game's features are being backported and we're trying to improve Legacy as much as possible since that's the game we overall knew better and simply prefered. If you want to join the Royale, Legacy is up at marioroyale.com, and new stuff's being added: - New maps that are rarely just SMB - Improved looks - New enemies and gameplay elements - Improved shop - Achievements and thus unlockables - Chat (which we're improving in terms of filtering and all'at) - New Hell maps- Wait, that's the next update. Crap, uh. Anyway, that's just my version of what happened, no worries. There might be no new Hell map and I might've just spoiled nothing. . . shoot why aren't the comments just taking the empty space?
