I was really amazed at how fucking good he was at this game. Then, I remembered two things. 1) He used to speed run Mario 64 2) He has the world record on Bowser’s Big Bean Burrito.
He paid 2,256 coins for a 465-coin reward. He started with 5,184 coins, paid 95 coins to start the level the first time, and when he finally got the balloon he had 2,928 coins left.
As we can see here, Dunkey inserts a post-credits scene at the end of this video, much like the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is subtly hinting to the audience that he is in fact making his much anticipated cameo in the next Avengers movie. The final showdown between Dunkey and Thanos will of course take place in his home town, New Donk City.
You see, at 0:15, he makes a joke about the glut of Marvel films that have been released. This is yet another bit of foreshadowing that's easy to miss, but oh so vital to grasping the big picture. He thinks there have been more than enough films. It's time to put an end to the madness, and he'll be the one to do it.
“I am the famous speed runner, Eduardo Zone” ...why does that make me laugh so hard? I don’t even know why he picked that name. It’s not super punny or anything. And yet every time I hear that line I smile and laugh.
Hey i googled it and he technically was a speed runner, "Eduardo Zone (born 24 July 1953) is an Argentine equestrian. He competed in two events at the 1984 Summer Olympics." Famous by no means, yet still a "speed-runner".
it’s just so funny and means absolutely nothing unless this other commenter guy is right and it was actually a reference to an olympic runner, which in that case, is fucking hilarious
The reason dunkey misspelled the title at first is due to the fact that he has yet to play Mario teaches typing for the Nintendo PC, he should play it one time.
3:09 Someone please let Reggie Sakurai Fils-Aime Miyamoto know about this balloon. It could not have been placed there without use of illegal darkweb cheats.
Dunkey has the untapped potential of a speed running god. We are lucky to be in the same universal plane as this videogame deity, the great Dunkey. It is as the tablets prophesied.
"What is this? Second grade? Where we believed in Santa and dinosaurs still?" Ah yes, of course, the biggest and most delusional myth humankind has created, dinosaurs
Yes also dragons and ice trolls are real. I know because the druids told me so, you're not one of those conspiracy theorists who thinks druids arent fact right?
It doesnt feel so special as Mario 64 did, but probaly, because im not a kid anymore, but the controlls are just perfect. On point. Even as an adult this feels just amazing. This game alone is worth the 350 bucks to buy the switch and the game. =)
With the coins he collected each round, about 70 (more if he gets the heart), that takes the loss from 95 each round to 25 2091 / 25 = 83~ God bless you Dunkey
5:18 biggest heart-breaking betrayal since Boginga harpooned Kimba's flipper and usurped the dolphin throne eons ago. Or a certain *N O N A F F L U E N T* moment.
Seriously dunkeys Mario odyssey videos may not be the reason I got a switch but they’re the reason I’m putting in a bunch of hours with this game. So good
This Mario edition of Bloons Tower Defense looks very promising but I feel like it needs a Knack themed map to really reach the next level of greatness
I watched this again for the first time in months and ONLY NOW did I see the scene at the very end after the end card where he actually gets that last balloon. I can now rest easy knowing that dunk succeeded at this challenge.
Why do I read every comment on Dunkey's videos, in Dunkey's voice. Even as I, myself, am typing this comment, the voice in my head has altered it's pitch and frequency to match the Dunk. Dunkey revolution? Dunkey evolution.
