The Super Mario Bros. Movie's newest promotion is a partnership between Nintendo, Illumination, and Red Wing Shoes! On Display at the Nintendo Store in New York City, Mario's boots have been brought to life to celebrate The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Is the design faithful to the games? Is it possible to buy Mario's boots somewhere?
The Super Mario Bros. Movie's marketing has been absolutely wild, with Mario's real life boots and van feeling like the cherry on top. Nintendo and Illumination are going all out to ensure this is one of the best video game box offices of all time, but will that actually happen?

I can't believe how well made these boots are made. Honestly, I would love to have a pair of these. Nintendo's marketing team has been doing a fantastic job, and I'm currently confident that this movie will be just as amazing being hyped up to be. The 5th of April is going to go down in history.

This may sound like a stretch, but I'm gonna be very surprised if this does not hit a billion. Illumination knows how to rake in the cash, even with films other than ones involving Minions. This will absolutely obliterate Sonic 2's record.

This might be related to the fact that when around the time the sonic movie came out, paramount partnered up with the shoe surgeon and made sonic shoes. The sonic shoes are not on sale and for display only similar to these shoes. Still cool though.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the marketing for this movie is phenomenal. You can tell Nintendo really cares about this film, and are pulling out all the stops to make sure it succeeds. And yes, these boots look amazing. April 5th cannot come soon enough.

It's worth mentioning that that there were other Nintendo items on display at Nintendo New York. Like Inkling's splattershot, Princess Peach's Crown and gloves, and Donkey Kong's Tie. It truly amazes me how Nintendo promotes their characters to the world.
