This video shows all characters competing in the Rhythmic Gymnastics event in Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Waluigi: A majestic, beautiful, graceful and altogether awesome character that beat everyone with his moves. To all of you haters out there; You're just jealous. It’s because SEGA hired female gymnasts for the job by using motion capture to record their moves. This way, the developers had to only ask them to perform only one dance session that must’ve been adapted for more than 34 characters that have different features, so the same dance routine doesn’t look weird. Additionally, the olympic game series have a lower budget in comparison to the main series. It is expensive to hire professional gymnasts to perform different rhythm routines, additionally, each session has to be manually adapted for the huge 34 character roaster.
