Mario Sports Mix: Dodge! - PART 1 - Game Grumps VS 

I used to think it was so hilarious in school when someone would make all the effort to jump like 4 feet in the air to dodge a ball, practically doing a split in the process, and then the ball just whacks them in the nuts anyway.

Danny didn't use any of his power ups and he still won.

You often see on these Game Grumps VS of more modern games that while Arin clearly has a better grasp on the controls and performing the more complex manoeuvres like the special move and actually using items, Danny's execution of the fundamentals is usually so great that he often beats him.

"Sudden Death dude, 300%".... *crickets chirp* Danny doesn't get Arin's fucking awesome Smash joke :L

Bruh! 5 seconds left and arin had 2 players on his side both 1 hit away from death, Danny with 1 player. If it had have stayed that way, arin would've won. BUT AT THE LAST MICROSECOND DANNY KOs PEACH!! SUDDEN DEATH BOWSER GETS HIT! GAME OVER! DANNY WINS RKO OUTTA NOWHERE

I feel danny would have had an easier time if he remembered to use his super.....

For literally 8 and a half minutes my brain thought they said Volleyball not Dodgeball, and I was so frustrated because they fucking sucked at Volleyball. I'm a fucking idiot.

Goddammit Danny, why did you have to win? If they won, Bowser was going to ask out Peach. He would have taken her to the nicest restaurant in the Kingdom and shown her that he's not such a bad guy once you really get to know him and would never let her get kidnapped like someone else seems to do (constantly). But NO! Now Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings will have to grow up without a mother. That's on you Mr. Sexbang, that's on you.

6:00 - there was an entire screen devoted to solely giving that information 2:25 - that information Game Grumps in a nutshell, but that's what makes it fun to watch I guess.

7 years ago today, I discovered these guys and this was my first video. Luv ya guys!!

The game should obviously teach the controls through gameplay, so you learn as you play. Right, Arin? Fuck them devoting a screen before playing to teach you the controls. Because as you've said, that's bad game design. It should be like Mega Man X, and have you do a tutorial level. Except not a tutorial level where they teach you things through dialogue, but rather have you test every button to see what it does, right? That's proper game design.

This was my first Game Grumps episode.

When Peach first got her ass kicked I couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Yay, she's dead!" Glad I appreciate the pain of fictional characters so much.

The part of the intro screen where Wario is hitting Waluigi with a ball is so amazing to me, the close-up of his face is my phone's wallpaper.

This is what I like about Game Grumps. I can go back 7 years and watch their content, and still enjoy it just as much as the recent stuff.

I love how Arin gets so pissed the one time out of a hundred Danny actually wins something.

To anyone just as confused as the Grumps, the rules of Dodgeball are as follows: 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 compete in a "jail" system: eliminated players can rejoin by attacking the opposing team. Starting jailers are on the opposite sides of their teams, so Arin just got angry at a Yoshi that was on the opposite team just playing his role. Dodgeballs thrown will deal damage if it hits the opposing team member and lands on the ground or into the user (or team member of said user)'s hands; if the ball hits the enemy, but another enemy team member (or the aforementioned member who got hit) catches it, the member is safe and no damage is dealt. Not seen in the controls or tutorial, shaking the Wii-remote when the opposing team has the ball results in a jump that can intercept enemy passes. The 1 button, when another member of your team has the ball, has your character call out for the ball. Computers automatically pass the ball to calling members. (Continued if someone asks)

I had a dream where I moved to a new town and I was knocking on my new neighbors' doors to introduce myself and Danny opened the door and I just lost it and started crying and glomped him. I love these guys. They really help people.

As someone who had to play an excessive amount of dodgeball in gym class, watching the Grumps play it without knowing the rules is...actually fine. I'm not even mildly annoyed. I feel totally relaxed...I..I must have reached enlightenment! That or the drugs just kicked in.

I never played this game and I was still cringing about how they don't understand you have to aim the super move, and you have to dodge the strong attack. I instantly picked up on that, yet they have been playing video games for many years more than I.

I remember all the stuff from this game. Especially the move in dodgeball where you go to the opponents side and give it to your teammate and you command them to give the ball to you and you jumped and hit an opponent. Fun game.

Considering I've been playing this game since I was 8. The entire time I was thinking ' WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY DOING!?' and laughing.

Nothing can defeat the dynamic duo of Luigi and Yoshi (my favorite duo!) :)

I remember my dodgeball days. Back at 6th grade summer camp where everybody hated my guts because I was the only person who would wear clothes with the shirt tucked in (Don't ask cause I don't know why either. I believe they were just bullies in general) One dodgeball day, it began where I had to be one of the ones throwing the ball. After about 20 minutes of throwing which in turn dealing with insults and gestures too explicit for the average sixth grader, Round one was over and I only got 3 of 25 kids out (I was scrawny gimme a break! Not like I wanted be the thrower) Then comes round 2 where I am now doing the dodging. Where I lacked in the Aaron Rodgers throwing repertoire, my evasion skills were made up for. And I needed every bit of skill in me because what I went through in dodging was MUCH worse than what I went through in throwing. First off, did I mention that EVERYONE hated my guts? As soon as the round started. Both throwers were coming after me! No one else BUT ME! This worked to my advantage because of the how fast the ball traveled when they threw it ended up pelting someone either behind me or near me after I had dodged. This worked for a while but again EVERYONE hated my F--KING GUTS!! So at that point they started cheating! Not just the throwers but the people who are still in and even the ones that were out ended up trying to get me out! They even changed the rules in which people who were out are now the throwers! One guy shoved me as they threw the ball and what was funny was that as I was shoved, the ball was thrown low so it sailed completely under me causing it to miss before I hit the ground! Then to make matters worse, about 20 more minutes into the game, the staff members, ADULT STAFF MEMBERS, even joined in to try to get me out! They couldn't do it! At this point, I was completely outdone and out of breath. It got down to three including myself. They didn't even bother going after the other two, they went after me! My legs were cramping! I had to resort to barrel rolls! I was drenched in sweat! It was torture! But they can go F--K themselves cause I'm not getting out! So after 40 minutes in, on my last remaining strength I tried to dodge one thrown by a fat kid who was one of the first ones to get out and he got me in the foot and that was that. But joke's on them, it was lunchtime so gym activities were over for the day! They were pissed since we couldn't play again! Sweet victory!! And that's my dodgeball story. I apologize for this long story. After seeing this episode, I felt like I had to share this story since it was one of my funniest yet stressful childhood moments. Ah nerd life, what can you do?

Possibly one of my favorite Mario games ever

This game was one of my favorite games for the Wii when I was 8. I remember playing this game with my sisters. Ahhhhhhhh nostalgia.

You could play as Final Fantasy characters in Mario Hoops 3 on 3 on the DS. Also, how are they oblivious to the yellow squares on the ground and the super meter in the corner.
