I love how these games still give all the characters their personality.

Shy Guy and Birdo have some of the best animations in this game.

I can't tell if Shy Guy's loss animation should be threatening or heartbreaking

When Pauline scores a goal, She says “Oh Yeah!” and dances to the music on the field or she actually says “That’s right!”, “Yeah!” and “Not too shaggy!” Pauline also sings “High up in the sky!” into the microphone. When she loses the game, She says “Drats! I’ll get you next time.”

Shy Guy is so freaking adorable in this game

Only Daisy and Waluigi demonstrated excellent soccer ball technique/control/style/talent/skill. Everyone else kicks/hits the soccer ball very hard. Bowser does a dodgeball throw, DK does a volleyball spike, and Pauline does the lacrosse swing with the mic stand. No wonder Daisy was omitted from the original game roster…that level of animation needed more time to render by the developer for a DLC update…still no excuse to release an unfinished game for full price.

I'm really glad that the characters still show their personalities at their absolute best. The animation being very expressive helps a lot. Also, a lot of voice clips may be recycled, but credit where it's due, at least they made the lips move in sync with those lines.

Rosalina's victory dance is very elegant. Defo my fav.

I didn't expect to see Bowser or Birdo in this game. I didn't even know we could have them as characters in the game

Yoshi’s crying is so adorable when it loses.🥰

Rosalina and Shy Guy's loss animations are both somewhat menacing, I gotta say. She looks likes she was a second away from a cosmic storm before cooling off, and he looks like he's planning to tell Yoshi "You're cool, don't come to practice tomorrow".

Every time we see bowser jr he’s always growing up hell he talks more than I ever seen him have and his victory animation has him shoot fire which tells us bowser jr is becoming more like his dad and at this point I’m cheering on the bowsers

Love the fact that Wario and Waluigi have that bit of strikers charged in them still

This game has some good animation though. At least, I think it does.

King Boo, Hammer Bro, Toadette, Dry Bones, Petey Piranha, Monty Mole, Koopa and one extra character should be added in this game to make the roster actually good.

these animations r absolutely excellent, as expected from next level, but they lack the sass super mario strikers & mario strikers charged had. these have a lot of personality but i think what made the animations in those games great was how much further next level went w/ showing personality with the cast. peach being a drama queen, bowser basically being the heel, jr trying to b cool but just looking kinda goofy (which this game does kinda do but its a little lame), wario being completely obnoxious to everyone around him... it feels like how theyd act in a sports setting if they were allowed to get more competitive instead of just their regular personalities ported over
