I can confirm this while playing on first kick and with friends... _they never._ *_EVER. STOP HITTING YOU_* and the game doesn't even punish them enough ಠ_ಠ
I can confirm the accuracy of the above statement! Good job my bro can only punch me virtually over the internet now (it hurts alot less). We should have our review of strikers up soon too!
every time i hear the punch sound effect and one of the toads gets sent several yards down the field it makes me cackle with laughter and that's about the only entertainment value in this game
I feel bad because one of my first rt streams is when he was originally trying to stream this game and it wasn't working, there was lag, and rt sounded really stressed. The stream ended in 12 minutes. So maybe it is not my destiny to watch an rt stream but to be a supportive RU-vid frog. I am glad you got to stream this game, love the vids. Often your playthroughs are some of my favorite on RU-vid that I rewatch. Keep up the good work.
@@maybenat yeah from what I understand it is the tutorial, then like 6 cups that take maybe 3 hours to get through depending on your skill. And that is it, the rest is online
Unfortunately I have to say the game isn't worth what it costs (for now I hope...) Even so, I'm not gonna lie to myself, so I'm gonna say the truth... *_and the truth is the above comments are right lol_*
@UCzSqL5qcheQxusSJF4uqSFw he tried to stream it two days in a row and both times the stream kept freezing and the audio kept cutting out I’m sure you can look at the vods on his twitch if you wanna see for yourself
Don't worry guys, over the next few months RT will give us free updates for this video to give us the full stream highlights, it's a perfect business model.
I don’t love it either but whether we like it or not it does keep the game relevant for a lot longer. The internets attention has become so little that if Nintendo releases the full fledged game at launch people would talk about it for like 2 weeks and then nobody would ever really hear about it. By spreading it out it makes it so the game will keep being in my peoples minds and showing up in headlines so more people will buy it. Don’t hate the player hate the game.
@@diefusion8558 as was just said it’s an expression. It essentially means that if someone is playing a game the right way and winning don’t call them winning unfair as they are just using and exploiting the rules of the game to their advantage. Instead blame the game for putting those exploitable rules in the first place. I.e. Nintendo is just doing what it can to make its games have more longevity in this market. Don’t like it? Change the rules of the market and Nintendo will follow.
@@petrolsquirrel I don’t like it either but honestly I feel like none of the strikers games had that much single player content. It was all just playing against CPU’s in regular matches anyway even if it did have a bit more of a meaning to them than with this one. I wasn’t trying to say I like the model just that I understand it in this market and I feel like people can’t just turn around and blame nintendo for what they’re doing when it’s in response to the way we the consumers have been acting and talking online.
@@alecbormia4523 I honestly disagree, they’ve tried this style of release a bunch of times before and it doesn’t keep people talking about it at all. They release the game with almost no content, because there’s so little content everyone drops it and stops playing, then by the time the new content actually comes out no one cares anymore and no one bothers to check it out
If I ever encounter a toad, period, he’s dead in minutes, if not seconds. Sorry, I have a LOT of pent up anger and hatred towards toad, but I have no clue as to why
It’s really funny because my senior year of highschool one of my teachers said he used to play soccer and that was literally his entire team’s strategy
Funny how this game lets you punch other players, and set the ball on fire and stuff, and yet there are less people falling to the ground injured than in real football 🤔
I wanna see a game of football with the same rules as this, proper leagues and everything. Lob the ball, wear full armour, set the ball on fire, use clones of players
The problem is, in real life we are still bound by law. The game may permit you to beat people up but the law doesn’t, so expect to be arrested at the end of the match. You win the game, but at the cost of being charged with aggravated assault.
If there are no rules then there is no rule that you need to get the ball into the goal to gain a point, you can just declare you have a bunch of points and that makes it true.
Breaking News: Drift king out of depth when he plays a game that isn't related to drugs or racing. "His age is beginning to catch up to him, he's really overwhelmed by how fast the game was" - anonymous twitch viewer
Fun fact! The canonical explanation for the uberviolence is that this is actually a sport called Strike, which means the mushroom kingdom is actively endorsing this violence, given that all of this is completely legal!
My main takeaway from the demo for this game was that the tutorial is fucking AWFUL, which is a shame, because it makes the game so much harder to get into. It looks like a lot of fun, but my head was just spinning after trying for a bit...
Mario strikers battle league is the essence of a 6/10 game. The core game play is well designed, but there isn't a lot else to do. This makes it really easy to recommend. Do you like ultra violent Mario soccer? If yes, you will like this game. If no, you will not.
Finally Super Shot Soccer remake in 2022, I've been waiting for this since the original was released in PS1, I play it with my friend all the time until the disk broke Glad to see not only we are still able to use all kinds of skills and abilities to kill our opponent, they even add explosive and electric fences as well
This was going to be my first twitch stream of seeing you and be apart of your chaotic chat, but got screwed because of lag. I’m a new subscriber here so I don’t know if this happen before, so I’m sorry if things didn’t go the way you intended. I hope I can see another one of your streams so I can experience being a spray of your chaotic chat.
I love how practically everyone who plays this game points out something about this game and says "that's illegal" and immediately shows that they've never played a Mario Strikers game before lol.
I used to play the Mario Football for the Wii with my cousin and we couldn't stop laughing while we just kicked everyone (poor Shy Guys), was so hilarious NSKSNSKDN
You actually got to play this game??? I remember watching the streams and getting sad that you were having such a stessful time. I hope that the rest of Your streams go better
I hope they give this game a mini campaign like the previous one to get more characters Also give us dlc characters I want petey piranha back And for the only time ever I want daisy back Unlike every other incarnation of brown haired princess peach Daisy in mario strikers actually has a personality
to all you guys asking for more stardew, the more you ask the longer it is going to be before he plays again, so chill tf out and enjoy what he wants to play, jeez
I'm surprised he didn't say anything about daisy not being in this game, I was waiting the whole video for him to bring it up weather it would be a snide remark about this being the best Mario sports game because of that or how terrible it would be if Nintendo made her a dlc character
I would honestly watch a Competition Style TV Show that combined Normal Football and Super Smash Bros. That level of violence would definitely boost The Ratings sky high.
When I first saw the ads for Mario strikers, I thought it would be just a fifa remake, but this plays a whole lot like Goal 3 on amiga, and I loved that stuff when I was a kid
Real talk, there is a genuinely small amount of content in this game. I don't think it's worth the $60 at all, regardless of the free DLC coming. Maybe it would have been better if it was priced 30 with the DLC having a slight cost to it? But then that would be it's own issue...
