How do you always get body checks? I've tried setting them up for bowser in challenge mode so many times but the stars never appear for me

I've noticed that if you rapidly press A as you're approaching the bag, it activates the body check more often.

Megatron38 don't the stars have to appear first? (at least that's what i have read)

+RandomGamer_ Stars appear when the game knows you're at the proper length from the base to attempt a body check and when you are pressing A rapidly.
