The movies keep downplaying Donkey Kong. In a game, Donkey Kong punched a small moon out of orbit. If Donkey Kong and Wario really fought each other with their canon versions, it would probably be a tie or something. In one of the Mario Party games, Bowser flees from DK after DK punches him. I think in a fight between canon DK and canon Bowser, Bowser could have the edge but it's a closer fight than what the movie showed.

I like how the narrative of the trailer doesn't seem to acknowledge Wario at all despite the movie being named after him. He's just in certain frames staring or dancing.

Personally i want to see super mario sunshine for super mario 2 and they should replace that lame bowser junior with Wario. Seems genuinely the best possible way to go. For movie 3 give luigi his own movie, luigis mansion is as iconic as super mario 64, and super mario sunshine. Then for movie 4 do something with mario galaxy. And of course, they have to do some references to mario party and more mario cart references. It would be even better if they had in movie references to the old mario games being sold to promote their image. Have some funny comments about "this doesnt even look like us"

I am extremely excited to watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 and its extreme surprises when they finally release 2026. Please may the sequel be as good or maybe even better than the first one way or another? I will like it if it will not be another sequel with lower ratings like and how some sequels are, no offense to some of them though.
