Oh my goodness, I am in love with Marion. She is so gorgeous. I am flying the flag for her here in the UK, and I'm always showing her Oscar win and press room singing to my friends, who all agree she seems to be the most lovely, genuine person. Not to mention the performance, which is truly one for the ages. My favourite Best Actress performance of the 2000s. I think this has to be one of my favorite films and I was totally captivated by this performance - I think it is for sure one of the best in many, many years. When I went to look to see what she looked like after I saw this I was floored! I was really rooting for her to win the Oscar and she did! Yay!

It would be a good idea for Picture House to come out with Special Edition DVD of the movie plus another DVD behind the scenes, the making and documentary high light her journey to all her 4 major awards and of course some interviews like yours which is my favourite. @EatherxDeens i've always loved france. there's always been some kind of connection to that country...i love the food, the language, the people, the fashion, the culture, france's history and i love paris! and this has been going on for way before i knew about this movie or even marion :) but now that i do, it just makes me wanna learn more about this country and french language and hopefully one day, i'll be able to move to france :)

La dernière fois qu'une actrice eut un oscar, c'était Simone Signoret pour "les chemins de la haute ville" mais c'était un film britannique. cela eut été impensable il y a encore 2 ou 3 ans avec un sentiment trés francophobe en raison du veto français face à l'intervention américaine en Irak. Les choses changent.....et cela s'en ressent même dans la culture.

Cate already won oscar, so maybe this year she saw all the "playing" of the nominated actress, and she felt in love with La vie en rose, like I did. Mostly everyone who talk shit against her winning don't even saw the movie or just don't like french people, because she deserved it. You should watch "La vie en rose" - her performance is better than "Nine". It was her best performance in life. I watch most of her movies.

Les parties en jeu ont estimé qu'elle méritait (pour la môme) cet oscar et cela ne va pas au delà de cette prestation magnifique de Marion. Hollywood est une machine qui broît des destins et qui vous fait passer du firmament à la clochardise en quelques mois....
