U from Manning?? What year u takin bout here? 2000 20001? Marion was undefeated and lost to manning in the play off at home in Marion ....Go swamp foxes 🦊📣👏
I love the videos..he shows us state by state What it really looks like in the states and areas when we look for properties that we would like move to in different states instead of pictures online he gives us a clear view which is awesome.👏👏👏
Loved in Marion for 2 yrs on Edgar street! It was the absolute hood of hoods, but I loved it! All my neighbors were so welcoming and made me feel at home. Ended up buying the home we were renting and now rent it out to a lovely family. Love Marion!
Marion, Mullins, Dillon…all of the towns are really the same. Most of the folks are good people, but there are a few knuckleheads who mess things up for everyone else.
The illiteracy rate here is 19%, meanwhile Horry County which is Myrtle Beach has a 31% illiteracy rate according to an article in HTC (telephone co magazine), they want to Lower the rate because of the amount of people that have moved here in the past Five years. No No, the rate is based on how locals score on standardized test scores. The rate is not addressed, Horry County is the sixth worse school system in the Nation. A few years ago they purchased brand new air conditioned school buses for every school & the School Board gave themselves a 66% raise. Why families keep moving here, ya kid will be dumbed down. Businesses avoid this area because of the illiteracy rate. Most work 2 jobs cause pay is low & a skilled labor force isn’t needed for Retail, Hospitality, & Restaurant work.
I live up the road in Dillon and no, there is not Uber, Lyft, or any if that. As someone below said, you can get your license at 15 in SC, or you walk.
I enjoyed this video so much I love most of all the areas that you were driving through they were really nice country living is so beautiful most of the homes were really nice even the ones that wasn't so nice was nice because it was country living it was gorgeous I enjoyed this video show more of them like this just saying
Marion is a neat little town,we use to have a lot of industries here, started disappearing in the late 90s.One good thing about Marion is its only 45 minutes to the beach....
I have many many good memories of growing up in Marion!! I was born and raised there until I was 12 years old then we had to move to Charleston because my Dad got a good job there.
I have a lot of respect for these towns, born in Rock Hill and raised in New York let me say, you don't need too many stores and building anymore due to the internet, all you need is nice homes. I hope to return home to SC to live out the rest of life.
This was my Mom's home. Mine when I turned 10. Though I live in PA now since 2002. Most of this video is not of the "hood". The contributer only meant hoods in the general sense. Though he did tour 2 of the towns projects. Which are nicer than some upper scale apartments in most bigger cities anywhere. Thanks for taking me home to the deep south. I was able to follow around our little town. Not much has changed...
@Analise M you are wrong vehicles used be much larger. the only difference is in them days when these houses were built only the man worked and the woman didn't have a car. when the man was working from 9 to 5 you didn't see a car on the street. as a small boy I could stand in the middle of the road for hours and never see a car pass by.
Thank you for the well wishes. I don’t know where you live but I hope the best for your country as well. Nice to see positive comments in times that often feel divided. Despite the negative articles and depressing side of some videos that you can see here and in the news, there are many good people and beautiful places in the US. Feel free to visit and get to know some of them. 😊 The hospitality can be great, especially in the south where more value and virtue is placed on manners and being a good host (not Southern but have friends who are).
@@internetcensure5849 yet African countries look cleaner than these hoods. Again very ignorant I see. Keep your self in the usa we don't want you overseas. We get a bad name enough as it is.
My Hometown. Not a lot going on there but people are very friendly. I left in the late eighties for a better opportunities. If you’re ever in the vicinity visit Bravo’s pizza, it’s the Best in South Carolina!
My family spent some time in Marion, before they moved down here to Miami. I've never been there. But my Grandma would go like, every 3 or 4 years to visit the folks she knew there.

@@Thomas-yr9ln "only the man worked and the woman didn't have a car." Now both don't work and still have cars;🤣You are projecting US older way of life onto modern black guettos; just doesn't fit. How can they have expensive cars while their houses are so dilapidated?
Got family in sampit Went down there one summer it was the country lol. Water bugs crawling on bed while you watching tv. Long roads of nothing. Best part about the trip was my uncle wife mother worked on myrtle beach so every morning I would go to the beach while she worked. Ima city boy lol so I guess every now and then it’s nice to experience the country
Might I point out that most of the areas you go to and show how much of a slum they are are in districts that are represented by James Clyburn? Just saying
Charlie boi it looks like you chose the wrong street to go down with all of those cars jammed pack. I can just imagine how many cars have been hit on that damn alley looking street. There is no way in hell I would park my car on that street.
You reallyneed to head up the road to Dillon, SC. New Town, Little Rock, and Riverdale. They're bad, even look bad, and are only about 20 miles away from Marion.
I can confirm that, that is the deep hood of South Carolina. Not to bad looking tbh. And They never really are bad looking, but there’s still a hell of a lot of violence in these areas. Stabbings I know have always been heard of
@@concernedcitizen4031 This is Marion, not Greenville. I clearly stated there is only a few counties that have money. The cost of living in Greenville is 10% lower than the national average. If might seem expensive to you but in the big picture Greenville is still in one of the poorest states in the Union. If everyone is poor...........nobody is poor.
the diff. tween Greenville and Marion Greenville has big plants with nice pay check and lots of them Marion does not have these they have settle with what is avail. but do not look down your nose at these folks they are good people
It is I was born and raised here better look up the crime rate murder just happened in day light right beside my house on bluff Street a 2 year old and one man with a automatic rifle our murder rate in the past 6 years was rated worse than any major city in the United states
SOU BRASILEIRA E GOSTO DE ASSISTIR OS VIDEOS....SOU BLACK TENHO CURIOSODADE. EM TODAS AS CIDADES QUE VC PASSA , TODOS OS BAIRROS QUE SÃO FILMADOS. É SOMENTE DE PESSOAS BLACK?? NUNCA VEJO BRANCOS
people poke fun at the south i live in South Carolina --been around the world 2 time in svc after seeing how other folks live I could not wait to come home to work and retire in S C we have every thing you need to enjoy MTNS Lakes nice interstate highways big plants to work in beaches to relax nice cites low crime compared to other states etc.
You know don't you, that every town has at least 4 types of living in them. The rich, the wealthy, the middle class and the poor. Why don't you show every side of that town? Plus the historical side.
