Noticed that one during editing. That was just bad English. Got real lazy with that pronunciation. It was a long game though, bound to be a few slip ups in there. Btw, my friend Lin is from Bejing and has considered building a deck of solely cards that I won't be able to pronounce.

Was looking forward to this game to see Marisi in action! This is how i decided to build my Saskia deck, basically just making it very difficult to block my creatures, and making my opponents attack when they dont want to. Would love to see a decklist for this Marisi build though.
I think the "during combat" clause is interesting. since you goad your opponents creatures they can't use combat tricks against each other as well as against you. So it may not be as protective for yourself, but I think it's still very good or at least a very interesting design.
I don't think pillow forting is the best way to go with Marisi. Ways to force through damage and gain back life (from crackpacks) seems like a more proactive strategy. Go for silly plays like Break Through the Lines and Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist. Nice video!
Oblation was good when commanders could be shuffle into the library. Now its mostly useless IMO, the only thing i would use it for is to draw 2 cards myself which mono white dont have many draws. That right there, he casting oblation on xenagos was more of a gift to him. He can cast xenagos again easily, he have the mana and he get 2 cards. Add to that the silvan library he have in play and just too much draw power lol.
I mean this is a pretty chill deck. It just depends on what you are wanting to do. Naya has a ton of ways to execute infinite combat steps with land untap and aggravated assault, also has a million ways to tutor out a crater hoof behemoth. So it just depends on how savage you want to make it. I tend to prefer more chill games of commander, but it is possible to make some very strong Naya decks. I was messing with a Samut deck for a minute to compete in a turn 5-7 combo meta. It needs more testing, but it can definitely stop things that don't win on turn 7 every time.

@@CommanderReplay Do you have a list for Samut? I am at the moment building her as a more cutthroaty deck and as a way to teach myself to attack (which I tend to forget). I love your approach of deckbuilding although of course many staples are way out of my budget :)
I can't wait to your list. You should consider putting a 2 card combo in here that would make all your creature power 4 or greater, unblockable. Challenger Troll and Gruul Warchant combo to give all your creature's +1/+0 and unblockable
I built the Sisay Legendary Blades deck in paper. Its super fun. I regularly assemble Kaldra or flip Withengar unbound. When all that fails then I just go to blackblade.
Good point. We all got wrecked by a Dosan in a Cedh game in Vegas. The blue player was keeping the Gitrog in check and was no longer able to do so. Oops.
In my play group, we've only been playing commander since later 2017 and shortly after that is when I noticed my meta was a turn 5 or 6 someone dies kind of meta...it is now a turn 6 or 7 game over kind of meta...so I know whatcha mean
Yeah this year has been weird for commander. It used to be that only certain decks could be really strong, but now almost everything can be absurdly strong if you want it to be. Ive definitely noticed that the clock has sped up this past year. MTGO also tends to be not kind with drawing removal which makes things go faster. If you want to slow your meta down a bit though, run like 25 pieces of removal and a winter orb, makes the games go much longer.
It hasnt been $4 for a very long time. 2017 was the last time steelshapers gift was the last time it 4$ US. Im seeing about 23 now. I dont think thats necessarily a Jared thing either. They have printed a ton of awesome voltron stuff this year with Ardenn being insane.

Good point. I prefer chaos warp and return to dust personally plus swords and path. Those solve most of my needs, then generous gift for the non indestructible. But i guess you are right, there is a time and place... probably if someone you know likes to play eldrazi.
Its not Boros so it doesn't exist ;) Clarify my statement, I wish that Basandra was just Grand Abolisher ability, and not the only during combat part. Thats more accurate. Though I did consider building Dragonlord Dromoka for the combo meta I play in. Its a very blue meta. Would be funny to just show up with Dromoko and do my normal voltron things without fear of being countered.
Just Run more removal. 10 isn't enough anymore. For stronger decks I find myself around 13 pieces or so. Also run winter orb, that card makes games longer :) And puts people to the test to find out who's got artifact removal....no one usually does.
False, it reads they have to attack a player other than you IF THEY CAN. Which means if you are the only available target, you are able to be attacked.
