Hi guys!! This is a freshman dorm tour of champagnat Hall on the 6th floor! Comment with any questions and I’m happy to answer! Sorry for the grey writing for a few seconds, had to blur out my number :)
ixchel231 you’d have to buy it yourself. I have a lock on the big chest under my bed but I guess if you wanted to put your own safe in a drawer you could. I don’t think marist offers them though.
Hi! Yay I hope you come:) the dorm rules are pretty laid back. We have quiet hours and some RA’s enforce them, some don’t. Of course if you’re really being loud at 3am someone will probably tell you to shut up ;) There’s a few restrictions on what you’re allowed to have in the dorms, but really no one checks unless it’s room inspection day, and they always tell you in advance. Again, this Varys depending on your RA. Idk if that’s what you meant by dorm rules, but if you want me to be more specific just let me know :)
Voltaize so it really depends on how strict your RA is. Technically nothing can be closer than (I think) 6 inches from the ceiling but in my dorm it’s not enforced. Some RA’s follow the strict rules and don’t allow tapestries at all, but many don’t care at all. Otherwise you can do whatever you want. String lights, posters, etc. just no extension cords (unless ur good at hiding them 😜)
DANIELLE FLORES so in champagnat it’s co Ed by wing (the boys and girls are separated by the lounge so you don’t see guys in your wing) and each wing shares a bathroom. So that’s one bathroom for about 25 girls. It has three showers and I think 5 sinks. And it has 3 bathroom stalls. Honestly it’s not too bad, I’ve never run into a conflict with showers because everyone is on a different schedule. Hope that helps!
Zarrah Israel there is one triple on each floor (I think). but it’s huge and it has its own bathroom. You will never be forced to live with three people in a double room in champ.
Zarrah Israel sorry I think I misinformed you. Apparently Marist has overaccepted this year and they are putting 3 people in some doubles. I believe you get a discount on the room though.
Hi! I’m not sure it really matters. Any standard size tapestry should be fine! They usually go behind the bed so if it’s too big it can hang behind the bed and it won’t be an issue!
