Though Paul Escolar is often credited with creating the first string rejection tricks, I think Mark Allen deserves credit for pioneering the style into what it is today. In this interview, Mark talks about how he added slack elements to rejections to give them the more dramatic effect that we think of today. We also talk about Mark's history in yo-yoing and the projects he's currently working on with Werrd.

We don't have regular times, unfortunately. The Spindox crew in Alameda are far more regular. To find out about SF meetups you could sign up on my mailing list on doctorpopular.com or follow DocPop on Instagram. I'll try to post meetups on my community page here too, but that doesn't show up in people's feeds that often.
