Mark Cagney explains haemochromatosis & the health issues that can come if it's not diagnosed. He explains why it is known as "the Celtic curse" and how he came to realize that he had it.
He also opens up about having two strokes and how he has changed his lifestyle.

This isn't a joke. My 2 elder brothers were diagnosed with haemochromatosis and suffered terribly towards the end of their short lives (both fit as anything & played GAA at county level). My health was fine and then all of a sudden at the age of 54, I couldn't get out of bed. 1 in 5 of us are carriers in Ireland. It's manageable though, get a test.
