I hope to see Mark right back at the top this year. The competition is strong with so many younger talented riders but I'll be cheering for him! Go Cav!!!
Amazing to see Mark winning again! I'll always support him and I'm so thankful for the past, the current and all the future spectacular races he's involved in. Go Cav!!!
A big fan of the Sram hydraulic rim brakes I remember! A little to late when the discs came out! Long since forgotten but good to see them on one of his bikes in the video! Great bikes and video! Thanks David! 👍
QS train is so consistant over the years. All their sprinters stacked wins and almost never win after changing team (Kittel, Gaviria, Viviani, lets see with Bennet with his next team)
@@thisgustin I was working for specialized and they / we were painting our bikes to look like Scott bikes at the tour which is why HTC ended up on SBCU bikes as the Scott bikes would break under load. It happens. Lancr Armstrong used to ride a litespeed bike not Trek though it had Trek written on the frame.
A long career and a huge step forward in technology...... Stiffer this, more aero that, all the claims but is there anywhere that we can find comparisons of Marks times to see how much difference it actually makes? Interesting video, thank you 😁
comparing previous times are nowhere near good enough to compare equipment choices. things like wind speed and direction, air pressure, humidity, turbulence and propably the biggest one: power output. science tells us that aerobikes are indeed faster, it's up to yourself if you want to believe in facts or not
@@madsnissenhviid9112 I'm not doubting the facts, I'm doubting certain claims by manufacturers. It is out of a matter of interest, taking away the variables you have said which I fully understand, it would be interesting to see by how much quicker a rider with such a long career has gone each year.
It’s fractions of 1% here and there. In this video I like the Scott Addict myself, the frame shape is still pretty traditional (far prettier to me) but the performance is just as good as any new bike as well
105 and a good aluminium frame - you can lock a metal frame to a metal post, carbon doesn't take well to bumps and bashes from heavy locks and other bikes so avoid if you'll take eyes off bike when it's not in your home behind locked front door. Wheels make huge difference but you could plan to uprate them later and keep original cheaper wheels for winter or turbo trainer. 105 is only groupset you will ever need unless pro racer. Having decided on budget and material, think carefully about what riding you will actually do, rather than what you may dream of doing. Frame details such as angles, mudguard if you need to ride to work on wet and dirty roads. A good bike shop will grill you on such questions and help with size and angles.
36 years old, he was not doing anything normal, the age is here. And suddenly he is reborn he beats the best in the world and no one finds that abnormal!
