Presenter clearly a genuine fan . I first saw them in a field full of bikers (west sussex) mid to late 80s , and many times since. Still astonishing live band and long may it continue
have seen them many times, just after my oldest daughter was born i watched an hour long concert of them on Ch4 and it took me back to the days of punk, having given up on music in the late 80's, getting married and having a mortgage and a child, they came to play at poole and i was a fan for life - introduced myself to Mark Chadwick in the crowd at the Larmer Tree festival where they were playing the following evening and thanked him for being real and getting me back into music - they are still my eldest daughters (and my) favourite band
I used to busk with Mark and The Jam Jar Tree in Brighton , before the Levellers. Charlie drummed a bit in my reggae band (lived opposite me in St Michaels Plce Brighton). Must say, if they really meant what they said. You would have seen them play live. But they are not real rebels. remember the real rebels are in the audience and the actors are on teh stage!
I love seeing oasis and Levs mentioned in the same sentence as they were the 2 bands played the most at home during mid to late 90s and during lockdown 1 I just purely listened to them both to get me through
