I love how he always deflects difficult questions with injecting a "right?" In the middle of his answer, as if what he's saying makes sense. Like when he's asked if the basketball operations role is contractually guaranteed, and his answer is a casual no, as if it makes sense.

i absolutely cannot stand people that assumptively close or interrupt the middle of sentences with the word right trying to bait you into agreeing to whatever they are saying as if youve already agreed when you havent. I will leave convos for this and hang up zoom calls and its somehow always shocking to the other party when i say exactly why, as if its so ingrained in their mentality that its required or somehow normal in speech when its absolutely not.. Mark is a business man in the end of the day. He didn’t let the emotions get in the way of his money and that’s why he’s a billionaire. NBA is trending downwards and from an investors point of view I’m sure he can figure out a way to make his dollar go much farther in other ventures.

Mark is a businessman who LOVED his Dallas Mavericks. It appeared to be the thing that he was most passionate about in his life. Anyone who’s ever been laid off from a corporation knows that before the business closes and lets everyone go, the suits all jump ship first to retire and collect their pensions. If I’m an NBA fan, I’m pretty worried. I USED to care about this league, but I’m one of the fans that was disgusted with the direction the league was going and quit early. There is more to the story than this. When Cuban is talking to someone about something he is passionate about he is looking them in the eye and smiling. When he talks about something he really isn’t comfortable with he will not look them in eye. That said, I’m from Dallas and appreciate many things he has done. OR maybe he is telling the truth. He just pockets a billion and he believes his current stake will be worth 100% of what he had before. The amount of gambling coming into sports makes it less and less a game. OR he may be following in steps of another Dallas guy, president bush. When he decided to run for president he sold Texas Rangers.
