You may be right in much of your' assessment, & I'd add, Mark trying to plant "seeds of change" with his music, is the main part of what "Christian Rock" , or (contemporary Christian music in any "genre"), should be all about....... That said, every "front man" in music, uses his position in the band, (there are a few exceptions out there, to them it's just a 'party', or a time to give the fans what they pay for 'so to speak') , to promote some type of agenda. I could type for hours, but just look at U2, "Bono", & to flip the whole thing to 'the dark side', King Diamond, (formerly of Merciful Fate), uses the stage, the show, even the cords in the music, as well as his "preaching", to promote the "anti-gospel", for all things evil. So whether or not an artist uses the "Christian" label, some other "flag", or none at all, the people who pay for the tickets, always get much more than just 'music' at any concert. It's an experience, & that experience comes from only one of two possible kingdoms.

Jim, My point is, most people at ANY concert are there to hear the bands' songs, NOT listen to the lead singer preach about religion, the "dark side," the environment, LGBT issues, or any other social issues you can come up with. Most just want to escape from all of that and listen to music they like for a couple of hours. Now, if it's a Christian concert, with Christian music and a Christian audience, that may be a little different. People there might want to listen to Mark preach.

I "GET IT", and a guy like Mark, well, he's a "rocker's RAWKER", & he's all about that 'groove'. If he's "feelin it", he's gonna preach, whether it's "Wounded Warriors", the gospel of True "grace by faith" redemption, or reminiscing about his glory days with GFR. It's just who he is. 'Bono', is who he is, & the beat goes on. It is a world gone mad, & it seems that in this 'conspiracy crazed', "all you want at a button's push away" world, there is no shortage of lacking in absolutes. It's all "gray". Agendas seem infinite, & sadly, the musicians coming up these days, should stick to the music, because creativity is all but dead. I feel ya, I agree to a point, I just feel that these people can't help but use their platform, for more than what I suppose may be "many", would really rather not hear.......
