I have seen hundreds of skyscrapers and this is by far one of the most beautiful and original I have seen. lately they are just square glass boxes but not this one. this is a work of art.
do you know what happened to this project? was it just a vision? because 5 years have passed and I still haven't seen anything. It's a shame. the worst thing is that there are projects that were made like the central park tower, which is basically a vertical glass cube with nothing.
Screw it why not? With such stratospheric rents in Manhattan they might as well design buildings that reflect the absurd opulence required to reside in them. I term it 'Gentrification Max', for the location and the views are no longer enough to satiate the tastes of such baroque residents. The building itself must become a indulgent ornament, a live-in status symbol to be flaunted at those less privileged and to fill the gaping void that such boundless wealth has tunnelled through their souls. Fucking hell even I'm starting to sound gothic at the very sight of this.
I am not impressed. Most skyscrapers are viewed from a distance, so form is important far more than ornamentation. The form is fairly standard and you need to be up close to see all the detailing, which would be possible only if you are on that block (and you won't appreciate all of it) or if your windows are next to it.
Guys this is ugly this is actually the worst design to put in the middle of NYC maybe of this was a final fantasy game but in real life this looks like a gody shit on the poor disaster
@@aaronjones4465 but is beautiful thoughts the perfect mix of art deco and futuristic design it will be a nice anchor between the old designs and the new and it could even get a new standard for future skyscrapers and even an icon like the Chrysler building was in 1920 to now, we kinda losing the old building in the ever-growing skyline of new york so maybe we need a new radical icon
